many years ago coming out of a night club in the middle of winter there was a hot dog seller so i thought i will try one anyway i noticed he had a blob of water on the end of his beak so after a while it dropped right in the hot water with the hot dogs so i sort of left the queue and the rest of the punters to it5 points

Got hme at 01h00 this morning and slept till 11. it's now pissing down outside and about 4 or 5 deg c. I'd planned to clear out the shed of all the clutter accumulated over the summer in order to get the bike back into it's winter quarters. It lives outside under a cover during the summer and under the shed/Shelter and cover over winter. I need the weather to be dry for thos so im sitting on me arse drinking coffee and typing this.5 points

I don't know how much electricity is free on the RE but heated grips with said muffs are great. Oxford grips have served me well over the years, i have the top of the range ones at the time i bought them on my 650 which are hot and the bottom of the range ones on my Beta as it doesn't produce much electricity but still produce a comfy heat4 points

Just nipped out for a shortish Bimble today. I wanted to refuel the bike but ended up getting distracted and went up to a small Village on the edge of Bodmin Moor called Lanlivery. The on to Bodmin itself, had a look up the Beacon while I was there then down to Priory Park before heading home. Bodmin is a former County Town, like the capital before it was moved to Truro. Also a Garrison town as well, in the past. as home to the Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry. I like Bodmin it is a great place with lots going on. I have worked many hours at Bodmin Hospital so know it pretty well. Lost of history with the DCLI museum, Bodmin and Wenford Steam railway and Bodmin Jail. Also it was original the Home of Bodmin Asylum. Down here calling someone 'Bodmin' is an insult meaning you have a screw loose.3 points

I really want to say something about wind chill and the fact that the himalayan doesn't actually go fast enough to generate any but that would be churlish, so I won't But winchill is much less of a fator if you're off road, simply due to the lower speed compared to on road use.3 points

The MG was in good overall condition inside and out, my buddy went for drive with owner but he was not impressed with the engine or its performance, felt slow to accelerate and was harsh doing the speed limit, so no he has not acquired the car. He is looking at Kia,s or Hyundai,s now.......3 points

It's absolutely pouring down. Picked my brother up from the airport yesterday night so my dog didn't wake ME up early today, so slept a little more. 08:30 tomorrow I'll be at the dealership with the GS, with this weather it'll be an interesting motorcycling day. I hate riding in the wet and am no good at it. Might take the chance to investigate on a better fitting set of rain over pants and jacket, mine is very practical but is 2 sizes too big so it does get tiring if facing a long motorway ride. I do trust in Saint Peter for nicer weather from wednesday onwards ...3 points

We have something called the TET here (trans Euro trail) and is suited to bikes like a DR650 or smaller most of it is paved or easy gravel roads but some of it is tough, I see people on bigger bikes complaining about the tougher bits and also see the mess the bigger bikes make on the tougher bits and i see people complaining there isn't enough off road, there's always people who complain about everything but not willing to do anything about it themselves2 points

MG has "plants in China, Thailand, and India". I've learned something today. Best weather which wasn't any good was yesterday as it's raining more than yesterday now. Got to collect my tools up left laying around in the passage from Friday. F1 again at 1 then prob out for a walk.2 points
