  2. Fooking expensive morning, took the Mrs to the local Equine store as she had to have a new coat and boots. I had a bit of a head from yesterdays out out antics which didn't help. Anyway 300 quid lighter, and that was in the sale and a 'bargain actually' the Mrs tells me I was going to raise my blood sugar by going to the in store cafe. Only to be told that the breakfast menu is only served until 11:00 and the lunch menu starts serving at 12:00, given it was 11:19 I could only have coffee, so off I flounced elsewhere. I hate these bloody posh places I really don't fit in there. Now chilling watching rugby, on the bright side at least the Mrs is happy.

  3. Took out Sofia’s Alfa for a longer drive and a picnic, and met a guy suiting up for a few downhill runs on his trike. It’s the sort of thing that looks like a kids toy but he told me’s got the European record for topspeed on competitions, just casually training on an open road Should be doing around 90kmh here, he said the record isn’t yet 120kmh which seems kind of low to me.

  5. We're shrouded in deep snow and frigid temps now, but I was looking at some pics from my last ride of 2023 from September and thought I'd share. My bud Todd came over from Missouri and spent a day riding around my home area, visiting old gold mines again and riding dirt roads.

  6. The van is front wheel drive, thank goodness. She’s like a cat clawing her way through snow. We are ready for a rescue if needed, but I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that.

  7. It seems @XTreme is well know in these parts. Speaking to a bloke called Bryn Bunston on the Tracer 700 UK forum it turns out he’s know Pete for a few years when he first came out as the only gay in the village.

  12. I hope everyone had a lovely holiday. We waited out the storm and got back on the road yesterday. The roads are slowly clearly up and we could see rain by the end of the week! I'll take that over -30c . The rain sure would help clean our oh so dirty vehicles.... Tonight we are in a small town in Ontario near the Great Lake Superior. A quiet place with friendly people, but I don't think anyone is making hamburgers tonight... ohhhh, and I got a new hat! It rocks in the cold!

  25. No problem entering the USA... With my work I can only get away 1 week at a time... It would be a long haul for me to reach those locations and to make it back in a week...

  26. Canada isn't far away and we do trips like this 5-6 times per summer - you're welcome to tag along on one. That is, unless your TOTY status prevents your passing the border scrutiny to enter the USA.

  39. Todd was hating life as his bike had streety tires and aluminum rims - not the best off road set up. My bike with Missions and spoked rims liked it a lot better. But I did lose a bolt on the way up that held my rear brake caliper to the stay arm. Had a spare with me though ...
