I got back from my walk for the day and I decided to take the bike out for the last ride of the year. No far really about 30 miles just had a look around a couple of beaches then out to the hamlet of Trenarren near Black Head point. Also stopped at Little Harbour for a picture. Tis a sort of sad place, a children’s hospice but also a fantastic place for the brilliant work they do. We raise money for them in the choir as do many other local groups.5 points

Me and Paolo just walked around the local roads this morning, dodging the showers. It is far too muddy to be walking down through the woods to the river at the moment . So 300 meters from our house we turn down here ............. and at the other side of the hill is this which really boils my piss They did this about 15 years ago I reckon at the request of whoever built the house of the left, no consultation , nothing and I can't use it as a shortcut now on my bike as they put more pillars in about a year later ............ Next we walked aroung the back of the old Kleeneze factory which was demolished about 8 years ago, Tesco bought the land but the council won't give them permission to build a supermarket so it sits empty .... and on through lanes to get up to the main road ................ We walked down to the High Street ................... and went in the Little Pink Cafe where we had a nice sausage sandwhich and coffee ..................... and then walked down some of the back roads to get home getting wet again on the way5 points

7k today with the Dear Boy. Stormy weather boys. Bit of a lump on, pictures are not that dramatic but the sound was awesome. So much so that it freaked the ginger fella out a bit. Also noticed that our bus stop has a new theme, it gets decorated every two or three months. I like that the community puts the effort in to keep things nice.5 points

On the second day of the real trip, we kept heading north into Scotland. First stop was Hadrian's Wall: Coming from a relatively young country, it has always been exciting to me to see all those places only read about in school. Its even more interesting to hear the true story from the locals to see how it jives with our school books. One thing the books dont mention is that the wall keeps all the midges in the north . I have to say, I loved the English countryside and back roads, but it was Scotland that has really stuck in my mind. I've always liked places that are sparsely populated as the people tend to be friendlier and the scenery more intense. Scotland didnt disappoint (England really didnt either) Crossing into Scotland: Coffee stop: Got to talking to a lady rider in the plaza. Bikes have a tendency to break down communication barriers. You get to find out those great motorcycle roads! Some other travelers we crossed paths on: Our buddy, Chris, kept the wick turned up so there arent many pics along the way, just when we stopped for coffee or the night. This night's BnB: As you can tell, the weather continued to stay nice! (i'm going to have to pick his brain to get the route info and which towns we stayed in. will update these when i get that)3 points

Took it out to wash it at the service station, and then had to go for a little ride to properly dry it up.2 points

Out for drinks in a pub tonight to celebrate our neighbours 50th wedding anniversary, should be good as the pub as I haven't been in a pub for ages and it's staggering distance to home Going to my sister-in-laws tomorrow evening for New Years Eve and then down the mother-in-laws house for a big leg of lamb on New Years Day. I have done well this season in the eating and drinking department .................2 points

Been happening for years now (despite the huuuuuuuuuuuge amounts of road tax we pay), which is why I wouldn't have any bike with cast or mag wheels, they'd be fecked in no time2 points

" Function is Form" as they say and much as I dislike the idea of Bobo neleg doing the grand slam and being Mod AND MOTY AND BOTY , his DR is clean in every sense of the word, and functional. It also gets used properly so I'm voting for that one. If i'm around for the last minte vote swapping I may have to swap for Fred's Affy twin, but we'll see. Ummm, there's Pedro's beheme there too.... oh fuck it, I dunno, pick one out of a hat?2 points

Have a look at The Circle on Netflix. I watched it last night. I thought it was really good accurate and scary prediction/observation of the social media society/hellscape that is developing before our eyes.2 points
