When we were on holiday on one of the Greek Islands years back, there was a family from one of the Eastern European Countries in the same resort. Mum, dad and 2 young daughters. Dad spent most of the day on the beach pissing it up. We often saw them coming back from the beach, Mum and 2 daughters striding ahead and dad bouncing off the walls all the way up the road! We were on the beach one day and early afternoon, after dad had been on the sauce for several hours, he decided to film his daughters in the sea. Wasn't long before he dropped his iPad into the sea water! His missus was not amused!6 points

Dropped the wifey off at the airport at 6;30 AM today and now have a full week at home by myself. I see frozen dinners and lots of guitar playing in my immediate future.6 points

Spent the day with the Mrs watching rubbish telly. Even missed the rugby but sometimes it’s just good to spend some time together. Pissing down here to. Eldest daughter away at college, youngest playing online all day and the boy has turned nocturnal so almost like have no kids for the first time in 15 years. Change is as good as a rest sometimes.4 points

My mum is up in arms about this. She lives just outside the new zone and doesn't drive............but she's still up in arms about it! I'm willing to make a large wager that whoever takes over from Khan as major of London will not reverse this!3 points

More than bit spendy. I paid £2900 for my Himalayan 1year old with 1800 miles on the clock. €3690 for that? Crikey you wouldn't catch me spending that much on an unknown quantity. Err hang on.. hmm3 points

Granted @Pedro but the engine {in a less tuned state) has been around for a while in the Fantic 450. Kove have stated that their aim is to finish as they are using the bike as a test bed for a model you will be able to puchase. It's good to see other manufacturers in the Dakar apart from KTM and all it's clones2 points

Read his book which was much better than I thought it would be. Can't stand his fake matey stuff, think he's a bit of a knob but now I've watched that I'm surprised what a nervous person he is, jabbering away in incomplete sentences, jumping from one thing to another, unable to sit still, I wanted to shoot him with my diazepam gun, he'd probably need more than one shot Anyway it made me feel a bit sorry for him, that's a large front he puts on for everyone, I'm sure the person behind closed doors is very very different. Him saying he's certain he's had a mid-life crisis during covid and mentioning having therapy 3 times, stroking his own ego and quite tellingly physically repeatedly stroking his hair made him look out of his depth, it made me want to say "Henry's not up to it today, find someone else!" Might just be me but I don't think it's ok to talk about your children's personality traits in such a defining way to the general public. We have a family rule, you don't chat shit about family to other people, it's disloyal and life can be tricky enough without arming the outside world with knowledge of weaknesses or turning a family member you purport to love into gossip. Not that Henry Cole quite went there but family life IMO should be mostly private. If you enjoyed that @Saul his book is waaay better, it's well written and enjoyable.2 points

I've been so busy over such a long time that I hadn't got round to producing news articles.......which is essential because Google thrives on new content. So I published this today: Disappearing Web Designer Syndrome2 points

I like the look of it, but I may be biased as it is an obvious copy of the Himalayan styling. Apart from the alloy wheels I don't see much wrong with it. Bit spendy maybe but looks practical enough. I don't have a downer on the chinese motorcycle industry it is growing and improving and will catch up. A lot of really good tech in other fields comes from China, there is no reason to doubt their motorcycles will get there. If you are honest you will admit the Japanese Motorcycle industry has produced its share of lemons in the past, as have all nationalities. Doesn't stop many aspiring to their latest greatest offerings.2 points

Saturdays ride was going to be just a reccy ride for me on my own to check out a few dirt tracks i hadn't ridden before just outside the Llandovery area, i advertised the ride on the TRF forum to see if one or two fancied a day out and before i new it there was seven of us so ended up having to plot a route i already new. Start time was an early one for me 08:30 and we were meeting the seventh member on route. Plan was a road ride to Sennybridge area which was about 30 miles or an hour away on the roads we were taking. Two of the lads that turned up were on two strokes i didn't fancy the road work on those i had explained before hand how much there was they said they were ok with it so after introductions and a few rules of the ride explained off we went. Headed up the Cynon valley to Penderyn and then Ystradfellte and onto the devils elbow to meet up with the seventh member of our group Here's a stock a photo of the devils elbow A couple of miles after this we were onto the first of the trails and the road work was soon forgotten This is a bit of a tough one plenty of fails here i was lucky enough to see it all Jason here having a breather very new to this stuff he went home early on the last ride with me but he was i'll LOL Steve concentrating hard But not happy with just riding the bike he throws it to the ground and decides to do some weight training as well Even the two stroke boys found it a challenge Steve gets going again for the whole of 5 yards and he's down but still smiling Andrew on the mighty DRZ400 And Paul bringing up the rear finding it much easier on his CRF250L than his CRF450L Stopped for fuel in Sennybridge as the KTM two stroke needed fuel every 40 to 50 miles, done a few easy lanes after but no photos on those . The next eventful lane i know as Lampkin lane named after Dougie Lampkin an ex world trials champion due to how difficult it is but we were going down it so no problem. At the bottom is a small river crossing with a very slippery base Steve finds out just how slippery it is and Unfortunately Steve breaks his leg in the fall Luckily there was a mechanic there with a set of Allan keys to fix it So after the laughter stopped and with Steve rebuilt we took on the exit from the lane Almost got run over trying to video fucking two stroke riders don't give a shit LOL Next up was a steep climb, last time i done it it was wet today was easy compared to then everyone made it ok which was disappointing LOL From here there were a few more lanes with no photos taken, then into Llandovery for the two strokes to fuel up and a sandwich for ourselves Heading out west of Llandovery and done a few lanes I've not done before and onto another little stream which i forgot to mention was a little deeper than it looked LOL Stopped for a breather here Jason thoroughly enjoying himself testing the water resistance of his new boots There was a few more uneventful lanes with no photos before we were on the route home Stopped here on the roman road waiting for the others to catch up Steve still full of energy, when they did catch up the lad on the KTM two stroke had binned it twice behind us luckily only had some sore ribs After the roman road a few of us decided to check out the famous motel hill by going down it isn't any better than i remember this was taken just after Andrew had picked his bike up just doesn't show how steep it is No more photos from here, stopped to fill the two strokes up again in Sennybridge before the road ride home. I think everyone enjoyed themselves they were all still smiling and alive when i left them so that's a good sign1 point
