Been thinking the same as my granddaughters had a cold last week so thought I was getting another. Maybe there's something more to the "cold" I've been dealing with.4 points

Mine raced yesterday cycling up a hill, not a steep hill if you are walking, but every where is steep when I pedal. I thought I was going to clutch my chest and fall over at one point.4 points

Hmm well had a change of heart on the van cos missed a trick. Had only put down the deposit, was gonna pay on Saturday so cancelled it. It’s a stop gap so why buy it? Can lease a brand new one for three years cheaper than I can buy it and claim it back against vat. That way it’s a new vehicle and we can hand it back before it blows. Winner winner chicken dinner.. I hope.4 points

Todays excellent result - Was on the verge of committing to buying an expensive oven a few weeks ago but some of the reviews were damning so I held off until I had time to look into it further. In the mean time I called domestic and general to try and get the old one fixed. The oven has been insured with them for over 20years (it came free with the oven and continued at £7 a month - I've had my monies worth). They can't fix it, there are no longer spares. Got an email this evening as they cant fix it would I like a replacement free of charge?!! Bloody hell I don't remember reading that in the small print. The oven offered for free is a £700 range and has mixed reviews so not my cup of tea but they offer upgrades of three different SMEGs and a Rangemaster all with excellent reviews and discounted by 700-800 quid! Can't believe it, I don't pay for insurance generally because I almost never claim and when I have they always squirm out of their obligations. Whoop whoop.3 points

Posing at the top of Mount Jafferau on the Tenere 660z, negotiating a fallen tree on the Himalayan somewhere towards Lorca, doing my best to avoid the deep bit on the old DRZ400S in deepest Surrey, celebrating reaching the end of the Three Shires Head trail in the Peak District in the WR250F, putting the Tenere 660z back together after crashing hard in the middle of rural France and fracturing my right arm (didn’t realise at the time) and lastly, laughing with my mate Curly as we played on trials bikes with me on the Scorpa 250.3 points

A good day. The final payment was made to the bank loan that bought the Africa Twin in 2018. Some overpayments brought that forward. It was due to be paid off in November. So extra money now onwards. A good thing considering what “they” have done to this country.3 points

The thing with Chinese manufacturers is that when they reverse engineer something then it is usually built badly but if they are given a unique design brief and a quality goal then it is made well so that will be the governing factor.3 points
-
if it's quality is anything like the chinese bikes I work with it will be substandard. They're cheap for a reason.3 points

just a minute, the Normans ( Nor-men) were vikings (or North-men) who settled on the north coast of France just a couple or 3 generations before invading england... so Buck maybe shares your jeans. Curiouser and curiouser...3 points

I feel OK now, i still find somethings more tiring than they use too..... I seem to have a feeling like I am going to get a cold, funny sensation in the back of my nose and throat, and snotty most of the time. But the other worse symptoms have gone......cough and sore throat.3 points

I didn't like the amount of oil coming out of the plastic covers while they were still running when I was still at the garage.3 points

Just been on the news, the welsh ruby fans have had the Tom Jones song Delilah ban. The lyrics are responsible for a "growth in household abuse after matches", not the alcohol or all the banter against the opposing team. WTFs this world coming to.3 points

It Is a silly idea … them 1.0 eco boost … I mean eco boom are just shit , I wouldn’t go near one .2 points
-
@Six30 you seeing many belt failures on these too? My old place of work has had a run of rotting belts jumping teeth, breaking and debree blocking the oil pick up on the eco boost and little pugs. Who's idea was it to run a Timing belt in oil. Edit, I'm also told the AA have had some of the same on the pug engined transits too.2 points

It definitely works, it was running earlier. It's being serviced here then it's going to Watsonian to have a sidecar fitted to it. The owner is going to use it in this years Mille Miglia in Italy.2 points

Is it like a real one or does it work? My mate's sits in the front room and has had washing hung over it every so often to dry for the last 10 years. He's not a complete slob though, he puts Christmas lights over it in December.2 points
