Got my Honda today, popped into see a mate on the way home and parked next to his unridden one. He has all the farkles and all the shine but not one mile on it yet. Nice though. Very pleased with my bike though, just gotta get a few miles on it now.

So it seems it's just me and Saul riding bikes at the moment, what a bunch of casuals on here ...................

Pride and Clarke.....I went there in 1978. Can't remember much about the place though. Visited a few others in London as well when I was there......I think Daytona might have been one of them. And I'd have the GS1000 without a doubt.

Still feel like shit......and the weather's still shit! Seven weeks since I rode the bike now! Longest one I ever had was Winter 2002/2003 when I was in Carmarthen......that was 13 weeks. I had this at the time.....and it just pissed down every day! So I'm doing nothing this weekend other than a few bits of work! What about you lot?

So what do you do if you have a bit of spare land, you have an interest in past times and you live in a part of the country full of neolithic monuments ? You build your own Long Barrow of course That's what some bloke did near All Cannings in Wiltshire so today I went to have a look at it , I rode across the top of Rounway Hill to get there............. and along the byway that crosses the Kennet & Avon canal to get to it .............. And I wasn't disapointed , what an amazing feat of engineering. But what's more impressive is the fact that dudes did this with basically their bare ahnds and rudimentary tools over 5000 years ago There's a locked gate to stop you from going inside but you can arrange to get access for £30 if that's your thing. I made do with poking my nose through the gate ............ and then I clambered ontop to get a view from above ..............

Some info .................. Suitably impressed I rode on through Pewsey Vale to get a gander at the White horse ................ and rode some more trails around Avebury but not this one, the ruts were about 2 foot deep in places and I only have 3mm tread left on my tyres On the way home I checked on the lane with the fly-tipping from last week, top marks to Wiltshire CC as they had cleared it up and then a short stop by the duck pond in Biddestone to have a coffee on the way home ............

None of the Honda's, they were all shit in that era, can't decide between TS250C or the DT175MX

Big doings at my bud's restaurant today. We were inside shooting the shit when the fire department shows up and commandeers his parking lot for the Ambulance to land. I stupidly went outside as it landed to get pics and got blasted by snow....

I'll admit it - I'm a wussy. But it was -16C this morning and the roads are still covered with shit. Soon though, soon.

I am loving it mate, smaller lighter and faster. Comfy at low speed and handles well when you wind it up, feels like a big 125 in size. Early days yet as I have only done 40 miles but I am well pleased.

Oh and wedding anniversary too.

Well today is the wife's 61st Birthday and our 36th Wedding Anniversary. Funnily enough 3 days ago would have been the 47th Anniversary of my marriage to her predecessor!

Granddaughters 9th burpday today . Just a usual weekend for us..

Well I had a whole raft of preordered food delivered this morning to test and delight in my new oven.. that’s not yet connected. So apart from working I’ll mainly be struggling to cook some dishes designed for a 110 litre capacity oven in one the size of a microwave.. …. there maybe trouble ahead

I had an XS1100, which wasn't bad, and a TS185, which was a hoot! A mate of mine had a GS1000, which was pretty awesome. Out of them all I'd go for another TS185, just so much fun!

Not that interested in the dragon lately, only thing i'm missing is the Bruce Pollard rally on tonight, apparently i really enjoy it, i say that because i don't usually have a memory the next morning and have to be told i was enjoying myself

I dunno - none of my business so I didn't ask. Just some old guy had to get to the hospital which is about 60 miles away and the roads going down the mountain are covered in shit, so they flew him.

Bugger I should have taken some photos. The x was a green one too, my favourite colour. Showroom was full of bikes all lined up waiting for the new 23reg number.

Very good mate, a joy to use. There was an X parked next to mine in the showroom, looked quite a bit taller to my eye.

Nothing much...30 cm of the white stuff coming down at the moment...took Friday and Monday off to recharge my battery...
