  1. First time out on my ebike for a couple of weeks! Needed it and we covered some interesting tracks. One of the climbs was a bit of a slog and some of the rocky and loose stuff took some concentration!

  2. An old lady in a tapered black top hat made my son jump when she suddenly popped out of the cottage near the castle. She was the worst Windy Miller impersonator I have ever seen.

  4. Lol, all the flat earthers trawl the internet for reasons why photos and other things showing that the earth is round are faked, but they never offer evidence to support their own theory. If it’s flat show me the edge. Should be easy enough so photos of the edge please…

  5. I agree, I think that being a Mod is like committee service, has to be done by someone but a thankless task. Always someone wants to moan. I have done it in the past I would not in the future, thanks to Bob and Buckster for your efforts., I think you are smashing it with your less is more approach. Now I am going to wash my face after the brown nosing

  6. This was on 25th January: 01st February: And today: I did try the cling film method but I don't think it worked with any significance. Two plants had cling film, one made it the other didn't. Out of 8 seeds that were planted 5 made it so far.

  11. My old school friend had one of those when he was about 20, stripped the entire inside out fitted a roll cage and one bucket seat spent a fortune getting it tuned and then dumped the crankshaft out the through sump, i remember following the oil trail it left for a few months on my way home after its demise

  13. Clever and massively talented I would agree with, as to the other stuff you never met my father in law. or my Dad for that matter, angry impatient little fucker at the best of times . My mate Louis, who built the boats in the pictures , is a genius with wood or with an oar in his hand, pretty much as human as the rest of us anywhere else. I could tell some tails but so could he so I will keep quiet. Here is the sign that was on my Father In Laws shed. My Mrs rescued it and it’s been on our wall for 20 years.

  14. Thanks for the welcome. One wheel is an EUC - This is a random clip I found on YouTube, not video of me. I just bumble around my village as it’s a practical way of getting to the shops. Used to use it for travelling around London but as they have become more popular and some people ride like idiots plod are more proactive in stopping people and I can’t risk 6 points. They do go pretty quick but I think you’d have to be clinically insane to do 60 on one. I got into bikes when my wife said she was going to do the CBT and I went along to keep her company. She didn’t take to it but I did. I’ve had a few mental/odd cars ( still do) and this is just the logical progression. Plus my brother and a few friends have bikes, and they are great fun.

  15. They look promising. How long do you reckon before they go outside, is it months or years? I'd give it a few more weeks before you start building the tree house though.

  18. Went up to look at my mates CB with a Honda main stand. Took a couple of photos and measured the spring. 185mm with the stand up. 3mm wire used. But he did give me a spare spring he had, not specifically a Honda one but it may work, if it doesn’t I have found a website where I can order a stainless spring.

  25. Just because, seems like something cruel to do, which is why I don't do it and don't understand why you'd want to. Because he insults something then suddenly it's ok to insult his religion? That doesn't make sense to me and does not make you better at all, everyone's free to do and say whatever they want, which is good because it tells a lot more about people when they make up a justification to be hateful. Anyway, look at this fucking great picture of my bike:

  27. All I can say about this is we are who we are. We're too old to change. The majority of us are working class boys born in the 50's and 60's, We didn't go to posh schools or university etc, and I suspect that most of us have had to live on our wits most of our lives. I'm aware that younger guys are not like us, because they've grown up in a different world to what we did. I made sure that my kids didn't have to go through what I did as a kid. We can't be like them and they can't be like us. We don't expect them to behave differently on our account, so they can't expect us to behave differently in order to fit in with their idea of how things should be. That's the problem today......everybody's looking to be offended about something. It never used to be like this!

  29. Isn't that what freedom of choice is about though? people have the same freedom to consider it offensive as Pete has to consider it unoffensive. or do some people have more freedom than others? you are free to come and go as you please, If I find myself in a place i'm not comfortabe with, I leave. I also strongly believe in the phrase attributed to Voltaire ( but I think t was actually written by somebody else) " I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" . nobody should have the power to shut down somebody else's views simply because they don't agreethem, be they green , blue, red, black, left, right, straight, L,B, G,T Q, you, me, the Pope or Mullah Omar. if you don't like it, you are free to voice your dislike, or just go somewhere else but don't try to impose your view. One man's freedom ends where another's starts, imposing your views, whover you may be is encroaching on someone elses freedom which is what boils my piss when people rave on about their "freedom" or "Right" to be this or do that which involves riding roughshod or the freedom or rights of others to think, live and be who THEY want.

  40. The question is: what do the people who "faked" all these photos have to gain from doing so? That's a huge investment in terms of time and money, so there must be a huge potential gain from it, no? Or did they do it as a hugely elaborate joke? I patiently await the explanation.

  41. NASA have about 1.5 million pictures of Earth. Many of them are on the internet, we have photos from satellites, photos from aircraft, hot air balloons, drones and even tall buildings, all showing the earths curvature. We have photos of satellites and the ISS and we can see these and of course the moon with the naked eye or with simple optical devices like telescopes. Yet somehow according to our resident pot head, none of these things exist. What can we learn from this?
