Soz, it’s been manic. IRL is sometimes insane. Picked bike up. It waaay surpassed my (very low) expectations but it was so late it was pitch black and I froze my way to my dads house where my brother (who lives in Scotland) has been waiting for a week to say hello. Then both my boys arrived from Uni and a pre-party party occurred (lot of unexpected work if you’re the keeper of the kitchen) and today is Mr Slowly’s birthday which entails some efforts. Plus trying to negotiate buying a flat in Brizzle, which I think I may have failed at. Heyho. Am knackered. But somehow you right royal turds are also on my mind so I’m checking in to say Hi gays guys well after fecking 3am in the morning before I finally get a snooze. Bike pics and review imminent, well.. quite later than imminent when I can get the extremely pretty bastid thing out of the garage and ride it… laters. Also HAPPY SUNDAY now cos tomoz isn’t looking any quieter8 points

I actually managed to get out for a couple of hours on the bike this afternoon. about 6 deg c out and cloudy but dry. There's a new southern bypass coming through here this year ( they've only been planning it fro the last 25 years...) so this view is abouut to dissapear, as is, I expect, the road i'm on. That wee yellow narker, just below the front wheel, is one of the boundary markers of the planned route. a little bit furter towards Auxerre on another very minr roadm paralell to the other. No yellow markers here yet, but this is pretty much where it's planned to pass.7 points

Temperature here today was 2 deg warmer than yesterday but it felt 4 deg colder fecking freezing, on the faster road sections my heated grips were fighting a loosing battle and it didn't help i had summer gloves on and only a T shirt under my jacket the dirty bits i'm never cold on the speed is low so no wind chill and your body is working harder so you generate heat5 points

The white one loves the snow because we can't find him when he's out so gets more treats when he comes home. Black one who's not in this photo likes the snow but prefers fireworks, the black one who is in this photo is frightened of everyone and everything except me and Gail. The ginger and white one is the boss cat. All of them are rescue cats.5 points

I think you will end up using the bike a lot, I have seen a couple around Edinburgh and they seem to sit on the road in a way that the Enfields just don't.3 points

Managed to persuade myself to go out on the bike this afternoon same old story didn't feel like going out but once i was out i didn't want to go home Usual route over Eggy this old girl was blocking the track and wouldn't move so thought i'd take a photo but she mooved on as i went for the camera Wanted to check out a couple of lanes i hadn't ridden before the first one was challenging enough to make it interesting but short enough not to wear me out no photos of that one but this was the other pretty easy going and mostly broken tarmac got to check with the council to see if its legal now Followed some bike tracks though the forestry this is as far as i could go or should i say let myself go on my own might have to come back with a mate to explore further. the bike is laying down because it was too steep and soft to use the stand and i was busting for a piss been holding it in for a few hours almost pissed myself trying to get it out Dropping back out of the forestry the way i came in looked a lot steeper from here than when i rode up Headed back to the forestry near to where my parents live and had a little play riding over a small log very tame to what the enduro boys do but after half a dozen goes i was pooped i need more bike time for sure Headed home from here down my secret lane near my home haven't been up it for a while next time me thinks2 points
