My day today consisted of the following in chronological order; 1. Upset the missus and she went off for a walk with the huff. I think it was because I was breathing? 2. Had a lovely half day to myself with just the dogs for company so played with the bikes (fitted satnav onto the Tracer and took the DR out across the local campo). 3. Missus came home so I went up onto the solarium and did some more waterproofing. 4. It’s been a lovely day so far so now relaxing with a good old cuppa. ……….looking forward to her falling asleep early on the sofa6 points

What is this obsession with alcohol? Projection me thinks Thanks @Clive you're correct I'm busy. You layabouts got no concept of being flat out? @XTreme I didn't start a thread about the BSA you did, you've had a lot to say about the BSA so far so I'm sure you'll have no trouble filling it I rode it home parked it and thats where it's stayed. Leaving for Spain Tuesday if I can get through this mountain of work so it's going to be a lot longer yet. @Six30 I can't abide people sulking, I've ditched good friends who've tried that childish power play. I'm the daughter of a prolific sulker, word of advice, don't give someone who sulks a self help book about sulking unless you want to see the biggest sulk you've ever seen5 points

The whole thing is the brainchild of our local Church Warden and a Parochichial Councillor who is the a Consultant at the only A&E in Cornwall, a local County Councillor, choirmaster, you name it he does it, anything for self promotion. Also has political ambitions to be an MP and is a grade A arsewipe. We had a brilliant Vicar until he was driven out several years ago, now the church is empty and run by Gargoyles. I not that religious but do recognise that our church was the centre of the community, not so now. It's all very sad really.5 points

Took Costa for a walk in the morning, then both of us had breakfast, and for a while now hard at hardly working waiting for clients and supplier to get their fingers out. Right after lunch will be taking the GS and spending the afternoon at my mechanic's to get a service done. That's when everyone will get their urgent issues and decide to pester me.5 points

It's appealing from the point of view that everything's on your doorstep but it's so feckin pricey and some of the people in Clifton really aren't my cup of tea if you know what I mean.4 points

Viewing 2 flats tomorrow. This whole buying something in Brizzle has turned into a nightmare. There's something wrong with almost all of them, mainly that anything in the centre that isn't a shithole has doubling ground rent, a short leasehold or no parking. After exploring all the options I'm basically being pushed into Clifton cos it's mostly in good nick and runs on the old rules. As @boboneleg can tell you Clifton is stupid money for a shoe box.4 points

I don't care how much it snows today, it's Friday and that means Mexican food and beers tonight with the wife. No amount of snow will keep me home.4 points

Wife's car (2022 Cadillac XT5) has a rather large keyless fob with an remote start feature. Pretty nice to have in cold weather. Nice to hop in a car with warm seats and steering wheel.4 points

Probably not doing a lot this weekend. Maybe a cycle ride tomorrow morning, but only if the wind drops a bit! Got to get the forms filled in ready for hospital next Thursday. Just been uploading all the required documents to get our French Tax return done. Mandy is hopeless at the admin side of things, so I need to make sure that it all gets done!4 points

My dad's company has had 2 Renault cars since forever, before Megane and Clio with a 1.5 diesel and now two Kadjars with also a small diesel, they're replaced at around 300.000km and never had a problem. If used properly, modern french small diesels are reliable engines. A diesel like that shouldn't be bought as an urban run around doing very short trips to the grocery and back.3 points

I'm quite impressed with the C3 Aircross so far, It's a nice drive but it does have some annoying stuff as well. If i'm sat in it listening to the radio it turns itself off after after 10 minutes. To get the radio to function you have to start the engine What's the point of all this start/stop stuff (to save the planet) if you have to keep starting the engine every 10 mintes just to continue listening to the radio3 points

No issues in 5 years for us other than normal stuff like replacing clutch and brakes. The Picasso has a huge following on FB......many owners have had 4 or 5 of them. They just keep buying them.3 points

After great service from my 1999 sharan I got a 2017 model, after looking at many other cars and vans. Still got an old fashion key but it has got an electric handbrake. So I have to have fun with handbrake turns in Mandis Cmax which has the keyless system. Always looking for the key hole and wondering why the auto hold handbrake isn't working in that. I've got used to the auto hold function on the sharan and it works very well. Can only imagine the amount of software getting it working as good as it does. Oh and as for the keyless Cmax, I press the unlock button in the house, put the fob in my zip up pocket and only get it out when I'm at my destination.3 points
