  1. Had another good trip out with the Welsh Wizard, no devastation, or destruction, no broken bike, brand-new jacket is still fine, I think he was quite disappointed that nothing broke or fell off. Got back to the Brit enclave about 4.15pm……….had some daft Spanish twat pull across me but I live to ride another day.

  2. I left about 10.45 this morning to meet up with @Skippy in the Natural Park Area across the border in Almeria. First proper run the bike has had for a while, and you'll be disappointed to know there's no abandoned villages this time. Apparently the last village I visited with Skippy traumatised him because he thought he was back in the Blitz! Also traumatised his bike and his jacket cos they both fucked up as well. So here we go......all upbeat, touristy type of shit. These are taken on the way to the Natural Park......a BOTM prospect there I'd say! Roads were jammed as usual! Conditions were amazing......about 20c there and going up to 26 later on. I had to find some grim, devastated shit just to cheer me up though...... And then it was on towards the Natural Park.......there's always bikes here! I parked up by Skippy's Tracer....... Went into the picnic area.......Skippy was already there! Along with 3 groups of Spanish bikers! Didn't take them long for all of them to fuck off when I got there though! So we were there for a while and then it was back to the bikes! The plan was to take him into the Granada province and show him some of the area up around the reservoir at San Clemente. Cos this type of Spain is the polar opposite of where he lives! Eventually we got to the reservoir.......he was surprised to see snow on the peaks! That doesn't happen on the coast! Less and less water all the time! Skippy then followed me back to the town and set his GPS to take the "Adventure" route home! He hasn't logged back in yet.......so maybe he did end up in an Abandoned Village after all?

  4. Seems like you had a nice time on your second date. Good for you! Weather seems amazing, and deserted roads make for a nice time out on any bike!

  7. Neither of us are Harley owners so that sort of deviant activity doesn't happen.

  8. I'm back......and @Skippy is on the way home. No bike disasters (he's on a Yam not a Kwak this time) and he didn't break his jacket. Got bloody warm as the day went on......up to 26c here! Ride Report to follow!

  9. in the family we've had 7 renaults, but the last one saw me crossing the counter and pinning the workshop manager up against the wall whilst threatening to trash the place and then burn the car on the forcourt. so, yeah.... never again a Renault.

  12. Depends if he’s just ‘out’ or ‘out out’? For those that don’t know the difference then you need to Google Micky Flanagan.

  13. Had a gentle run on the XR today, out with a lad testing his bike out for a trip to Morocco later this year. we covered all the terrain he could encounter on his trip except warm and dry but he's an expert in wet muddy and cold now though He was close to loosing it exiting this puddle One big f off old sweet chestnut tree Damn disappointed i didn't get the whole tree in here, oh well i'll just have to go back there for a ride again.

  14. She has been bleddy well been at it again. Oh and for my blood pressure I have to stop fussing as she only fell off twice. Or so she tells me. FFS. And this is the one that wants a bike. Laughed at the boy today, he went to the pictures with his mates and rode home in the rain and dark He comes in ranting “What the actual fuck, how are you supposed to see” I explained to slow down and try and look away when you’re being dazzled. He thought I was a dick for laughing and saying that rain and dark are part of biking and you just have to deal with it.

  16. I remember when one of my mates got a CX500 when they first came out, it looked huge at the time! I laugh when I see them, as they look tiny now!

  18. A few pictures. It was really busy so it was difficult getting good pictures, I actually went for a specific purpose and I didn't have enough time to see everything. They had a classic show in the Lowland Hall but it was ramming in their so I only had a quick look, apparently "classic" now means anyone's winter bike as the majority were crap. I was hoping to get a new leather jacket but the vendors were selling tat. I did however get ear moulds done and will have custom ear plugs in a few weeks time. Not keen on the current KTM offerings, they are too mainstream now. A few from the classics and custom. One for Six's van, it sure as shit shouldn't be out in the open. A Busa that isn't owned by a feckless pussy. I liked the CCM's Some chinky shite for Pete, either this Moto Morini or a Benelli. Shame to see those names on these things. Harley Davidson were there of course. There were sad twats getting a stationary test ride. Here is a bike leaning further than Pete has ever managed without falling off. i quite liked this customised Triumph Scrambler. I spoke to the designer, he was a knobend. He didn't like getting told he was a knobend but there you go, I still like the bike.

  20. No specific breed. I found him when out on the XR in the woods when he was 3 or 4 weeks old. The jaw means that there’s some Pitbull or something like that in him, and he is a little terrie in behaviour, but no breed.

  26. except for the renault 1.9 dci. which is renown for being an absolute peice of shit with top end lubrication problems and HUUUUUUGE oil consumption. Renault consider 1 litre of oil per 1000km to be " within tolerance" and " Normal for modern engines. F. T. S.!

  27. Now at 8900km, they’re looking like this: plenty of life left but a couple of days ago they were not the ideal tire to navigate through 10km of gridlock traffic in Porto’s wet motorway after dark. They’re proving to be a sound tire if you want a proper mixed use tire for a big bike.

  30. I didn't want curry, can't stand the stuff. You wanted curry and chips. When the 'CHIP SHOP' said they had run out of chips and offered you mash with curry I thought you were going to explode, like he'd suggested riding through a muddy puddle.

  32. The curry and mash thing goes back to around 2004 when me and Yen went in a cafe in Carmarthen, We wanted curry......but they had no rice or chips to go with it! So they offered us curry and mash instead!

  40. Spending the day with Costa, early morning drive to the forest and walk. Then breakfast and now watching a little tv. His favourite person is away for a while and I’m the next best thing. Also the weather is iffy, don’t feel like going out on the bike at all, yesterday was enough.
