Pretty busy weekend, Pete. Plus I'm still not sleeping so well after the operation, so I run out of steam by the evening and can't really concentrate on anything. Anyway, I am still in the land of the living..........just!8 points

Stopped on a Gravesend (Kent) industrial estate next to this canal because I was a bit early for a meeting this morning. The road was quite narrow and the small layby was full of water so I parked outside the layby with just enough room for a lorry to pass. Lucky for me, because as I put my phone away a Police minibus and about 7 plain armed response cars with blue lights flashing skidded into the road and flew up the track at break neck speed. Questioning of the man I met with provided the information that there is an armed response training school at the end of the track and they regularly fly around the area at high speed, practicing their driving skills.5 points

Just gave Paco (owner of the flat) a months notice and final payment. They're likely to be gone to Madrid by the end of the month.2 points

Those were right at $400 / Euro 366 / 322 pounds - but that's also a wide 200 series rear tire so it's gonna cost more than ADV tires I buy for the Tenere - which are a lot cheaper.2 points

I wouldn’t , Down syndrome kids pack the burgers in the factory , they dribble all over em , then get sent to Burger King2 points

That only took 3 hours..... Got the rims off of the Goldwing today. Front came off really easy but the rear was a pain in the ass. Five lug nuts - as you would have on a car - that were really stuck on there. Had to use an impact gun to get them off. Hope they go back on easier. Off to the bike shop with them to get new tires mounted in the morning...2 points

Yeah its only paying 12 quid an hour but it's better than nothing and the main thing is I'm getting some valuable experience on class 1 which I wasn't getting anywhere else1 point
