Might be a bit absent for a min or two cos leaving for the Alps tomoz. Riding to Portsmouth with one woman and meeting the others for pub grub before the ferry. Forecast shite. Mr Slowly has offered to go to Brizzle n pick up a heated vest for me before I leave- won’t be turning that offer down Everyone seems very excited so I think we’ll have some fun. Stash arrived in time. The computer simulation pic doesn’t do the real thing justice but they turned out well. I’ll say HAPPY SUNDAY now, technically it is5 points

We used to call it 'crabbing' back in the day. The chassis has twisted , if that was spotted by the authorities (or any good transport manager) in UK it would be taken off the road.4 points

I was searching through the ride reports I did on XRV.ORG just now. Last time I looked, which was quite a few years ago, all the pictures had disappeared due to the Photobucket crisis (refused to pay the robbing bastards). Most of the pictures now show up again, although they have a Photobucket logo plastered across them. I found some of Wiltshire with Bob, although Bob's added pics have disappeared now. This was my Isle of Wight 'rally poo run' trail ride, hopefully you can see it without being logged in. https://www.xrv.org.uk/threads/isle-of-wight.26569/3 points

It doesn't help that photos were uploaded to Photobucket at full size and when I had the choice of paying or copying them back on to my hard drive they were at a reduced size. I have an email address just for joining forums and when I check it occasionally Photobucket have been emailing for the last 5 years every 2 or 3 days saying that they are going to delete my account. It's either that or TAKE ACTION NOW type thing. Twats.3 points

Looks like the rear diff isn't tracking with the front....possibly broken main leaf spring or center bolt..3 points

Had a ride on the XR today there were 8 of us out a few of them were novices, we were showing them around some of the local lanes. The one lad ditched his bike jamming the front brake on and ended up in the ditch off the edge of the tarmac, there was a prick there trimming some bushes totally unconcerned about the lad dropping his bike and then said just to let you know if you've been riding illegally all of your numbers are taken, one of the lads put him right straight away what a tosser. A few miles later the same lad ditched his bike again on a rocky hill but this time the screen of his bike jammed him in the nose there was claret leaking everywhere I didn't take a photo of his bike in the hedge it was the CRF Rally across the track we had just pulled it out of the bushes on the right Onto some mud look away Pete Steve the leg first he's not a novice anymore but he always falls off. Select HD on the videos I decided to get the camera out again on the track up to Miriam's bench as the start is a little loose see if you can spot the novices in the video good job their young and fit Keep an eye on the KTM rider and Steve the leg towards the top of the lane And the usual photo from Miriam's bench Managed to stay in front of the rain all day just started raining when i got in, the route was 108 miles for me a good day's riding and a good laugh2 points

Most long rigid lorries I see are twisted that way, the front wheels are rarely in line with the rears.2 points

Well we better find Dean to get the truth! @Earache .......he's a fat bullshitter in his 50's, and is likely to be working as a bike or car salesman in a dealership! Or he could be in a mental hospital! Is that enough to go on?2 points

I really do love Spain and their way of being. I’m very lucky to have landed in a place thats next to the sea and used just by the Spanish. I just wish I took Spanish at school rather than French!2 points

Just cleaned up my rear caliper and give it a coating to fight the corrosion from road salt. The brake pads still seem like new thickness wise. Can't seem to wear them out. They have done about 14,000 miles since they went in. The first set that came with the bike were replaced, nearly worn out at 13k so it's all a bit odd. I'm still on the original front pads so they have done 29,000 miles. I have a new set ready to go in, but they still looked good a few weeks ago when I cleaned up the front brakes after the winter saltfest, so I never put them in. I swear I do use the brakes and they work fine so not sure what is going on. I also wire brushed and painted most of my centre stand. It was a rusty nightmare. I can't get used to not having chain oil all over that part of my bike, preserving it.1 point

No, the foreigners. Like you say they all congregate in the same areas. Very few will talk to the brit locals although I had a short conversation with one as he passed on his push bike. I do walk fast but this chap was going so slow I'm not sure how balance was happening.1 point
