I'm back in my little Spitalfields site hut tomorrow. First time no rain is forecast as well. I shall spend the morning trying to memorise one of the Romanian's worker's names, either that or give him a nickname. I have no trouble with the building site security bloke, easy to remember something that sounds like VIRAL. No trouble with VAS (short for Vasil). It's our machine driver, can't remember it two seconds after he tells me. Knelt on what I thought was a sharp stone last week whilst measuring something. Turns out it was a large screw set into a concrete slab and pointing upwards. That made me jump I can tell you. Big hole in my yellow trousers, luckily very little blood. Washed it to death straight afterwards, I don't be wanting lock jaw or similar. Concrete has been broken out since thank god, because I'd only do it again otherwise.

Peas with chorizo and a poached egg inside. It’s a very Portuguese comfort food. Spaghettoni al pesto, with basil and mint from my garden, pistachio. Looks rustic because it was done by hand on a mortar that was too small for the job. Tasted great, though, with the fresh herbs and good olive oil, though. Sofia made me sardines like I had in Morocco, stuffed with charmoula, a typical coriander and parsley spice mix. It really was a taste of adventure.

I'll even work on boats if the price is wright....a regular money Pitt if you ask me..

Today, firstly stopping to put a mid layer on, as it was quite chilly up there, photo ruined by the power lines: Then, after a particularly loose and uphill bit, stopped to check google maps if this had an exit on the other side or if I had to go back down the same way and contemplate my life choices No dramatic descents were needed, and after 25 or so km it ended in a pretty dirt road through a forest. The highlight of that detour was a close encounter with a deer, running beside my bike at about 20 meters distance. To be fair the GS was riding on easier surfaces than the low shrubs he was running on.

Never been there before.....it's down in Almeria! It's some well known religious place of worship and people come from all over the place to visit it! As always, the Catholic Church explores all avenues of cashing in somehow.......so they've built a Hotel and Restaurant there as well! All the people going in were dressed up to fuck.......whereas I looked like a vagrant, and then I had a piss in their rock garden! Had to.....I was fucking busting! So here we go! Very rural roads to get there......in most places the surface was pretty rough. Eventually found the access road for the place....... We're quite high up here and very windy! Got as near to the building as possible cos I don't like walking! And I'm suffering with a Hernia FFS! They should have brought out the Pope mobile for me really. Life is so much easier with a nice Shad Top Box! Despite my physical limitations I walked around the place! Had a look inside..... Internal courtyard! And one area that's kept behind bars! Fuck knows what goes on in there! Back outside....... So I had a decent run out, though surprisingly it was a bit on the chilly side......about 17C. Made worse by very strong winds. Done enough miles to take the bike in for an oil and filter change now.......but rain is coming in on Wednesday so not sure whether it'll be this week. Bike went great......I can't fault the thing. You lot can of course......but when did your opinions ever count?

Not very impressive today as the flow was low but a bit of fame attached to it as it was used as the entrance to the Batcave in the Batman film The Dark Knight Rises.
