1200 American....I was thinking of doing it myself...should have...figured it had low mileage...I would be safe...oh well....it's a upgraded model...the old version were prone to fail..3 points

Gave the GS a little love in form of few new plastic parts, the supports for the luggage were quite worn down, plus a couple of cable holders and the two little rubber stops on which the seat rests. Looking prettier now, wondering if they will look like shit after the first few kms of dirtroad, maybe3 points

Fucking thing started this morning......and kept on starting. Jesus reckons it could be battery related as well......and possibly starter motor. So to be absolutely sure, instead of splashing out cash, I've got to wait for it not to start and he'll come to the house to check.3 points

It's all electric so yes. I'm guessing it's not an immobiliser fault and something from the ign switch to/or the starter. Your man will prob start with a diag to rule out said immobiliser and go from there.3 points

We've gone from praying for it to start to praying for it not to start. If there's any doubt we'll replace the battery by the end of the week as a precaution. We've had the car for over five years with the same battery......and no idea how long it was on there before that.2 points

Oxidisation of the battery terminals being affected by heat and humidity, pull the terminals, clean the connectors and battery posts with light emery paper, use some dielectric grease and refit.2 points

Because I think we've all had enough of van and trailer action! Anyway, after 3 weeks of being sidelined due to storms, I finally got back out today. Crossed from Granada into Almeria and then into Murcia via the rural farm roads Shows how much rain we've had cos there were flooded fields everywhere! That's unheard of in June. And the water has caused a lot of damage to the rural roads! They weren't too clever before, but now there's potholes and massive cracks everywhere. Weather 25C and just right! Some abandoned shit! I've missed my abandoned shit. Water out in the fields..... ......and even worse, overflowing onto the roads! Did I ride through it? Well I would have normally of course......but I've got to be careful because of my Hernia! More abandoned shit....... I suppose some of you stupid fuckers would like to go walking up there? In my case, Hernia or not; I'm not temperamentally suited to walking! However......I am temperamentally suited to riding motorcycles. So I think I'll stick with that! Maybe you wannabes and casuals should try it sometime?1 point

This is called Project Blue Beam, as with almost everything it's made to scare people, if and when there are UFO's over cities they will be holograms, any flying saucers that have been seen are most likely derived from German technology taken by the US after WW2. That's not to say that aliens don't exist but as the closest star to the Sun is Alpha Centauri where other life forms may have evolved and it is at 4.2465 light-years distance unless they are portal hopping or have some other means of exceeding the speed of light the chances of them coming here are infinitesimal, after all why stop here when they would probably be looking for signs of intelligent life..1 point

I have heard of loads of water pump issues with those. I will stick to my air cooled twin cam, best bike ever made.1 point

For a classy dude like you I'd say that's a bit footballers wives. With your colouring I'd recommend a neutral palette, a tinted lipgloss for the evening and easy on the blusher. If the lashes need help then a thickening mascara or at a push eyelash extensions for the outer eyelid, but that's algorithms, they don't always completely hit the mark. Good luck1 point

I don't know to be honest but Honda's build quality has never been as good as it was in the 1990's .1 point

This is my mate's personal review of his new Transalp ............... Well, 150 odd miles today. Handling brilliant on road at speed and wonderful balance at walking pace. Brakes good (smaller Nissans than an AT but bigger disks & it works well) Finish - pretty shite in some areas, cheaply covered ill fitting seat, exhaust system real tatty ugly affair. Swing arm welds are good but some of the frame welds done by a trainee monkey robot ? Wind noise from lower fairing drowns out the week sounding silencer Cheap feel and look to the levers. pillion pegs can't be removed because they also hold the silencer bracket some of the wiring looks a bit ugly, wound in black tape. Coolant pipes don't have a decent finish either. The suspension settings on dry off-road rough stuff was great straight out the box, but without a sump guard you don't want to get silly. Not a review, just some of the things I've noticed on my first day and nothing that can't be sorted. Trouble is ,I'm making comparisons with a very well built and finished 701 and an ever better built Dragster. The reason I bought this bike is because it's a Honda. I know it'll just go on and on back and forth across two counties to my old mums care home. The Dragster is back at the dealers after another tantrum, The 701 seat and my arse won't talk to each other................ I rest my case !1 point

The next thing to need attention was the cush drive rubbers in the hub. They had been mounted with some silicone sealant by the previous owner (a common trick to stop transmission slop)........... Once I got the rubbers out I was left with this ............... but brake cleaner and a scraper got it clean , this was the crap that came out .................. with the hub cleaned I fitted some Polyurethane cush drives from Procycle. These are supposed to be much better than the rubber originals .............. The cush drive was then mounted to the wheel and then the wheel was squeezed back into the bike ...............1 point
