My room painting is going well, not. spotted a bubble in the paint on the ceiling in the corner of the room, i now have a 12" x 6" hole in the ceiling as there's no access from above, the upstairs Loo has had a very small leak for the last god knows how many years, i just painted over the bubble last time instead of investigating it and one coat is never enough no matter what it says on the tin Have i said i hate decorating6 points

Nipped out on the zx in-between showers and all seems well. I could touch the discs when I get back but not for long. No discolouration on the discs either. It's a proper screamer, quickest 600 I can remember riding.3 points

Harley certainly do seem to be moving into the 21st century, maybe having Indian produce such great bikes is making them pull their socks up. I’ve always been amazed at how they can make such high capacity engines with so little power. I love my Indian but I don’t get the North American thing for having the huge fairings and festooning it with leather tassels. I like mine so much that when I’m thinking of getting another bike I look at what’s out there and keep coming back to getting another FTR.3 points

Got to see a bike mate of mine from Cardiff at the Venta del Peral Services tomorrow morning. He's got a place in Freila and he's only over here on a pretty intermittent basis. And I know he's going to start pestering me again to sell him the CB so he's got a bike to use when he's over here.2 points

Oh it looks like I hit a nerve ...just for the record I've owned ktms since before your Harley years..the Honda was a financial thing ..I knew I could sell it for more than I paid for it..so there...the challenger was introduced in 2020 and it finally forced Harley to improve on their outdated design...I'm not here to knock your bike down buck ..I've been fortunate most than most in my life and don't want to come out has a rich bastard....2 points

Harley has been making these bikes for decades, Polaris has been making their poor copies for 5 minutes. My 2008 Glide has Brembo brakes, I wonder why Polaris use Brembo on their Harley copies? Since you have been back on here you have tried to copy everyone, someone waxed about Honda Cubs and you went and bought one, you saw me enjoying my Harley and you bought one. I’m pretty sure the KTM was you copying someone down the line. You keep trying to live vicariously through other people’s lives. We know you were raped by a moose, you need to stop pretending now.2 points

I seem to have a lot to do with wheels this weekend. I got knackered wheel bearings to change on the winter wheel for the dog and have to fit a non gay tyre to summer wheel that.s fitted now. I have the re-spoked and rimmed spare wheel for the XR to make waterproof and then fit the extremely non gay tyre back on. oh and our new sofa is coming next Wednesday so she wants the living room painted2 points

Todays experimental kitchens Kettle cook is the ‘Seafood Boil’ thing they love in Southern America. This is a pic of what its supposed to look like - Mine obviously didn’t look the same because I wanted minimal ingredients so assembly is fast n easy, plus the pieces need to be small to ensure even cooking in a kettle. To start things off I’ve avoided anything in it’s shell as cooking seafood in a kettle is new to me, I wanted to be certain it was cooked through, so I went with raw king prawns because it’s easy to tell when they’re cooked. Every Spanish supermarket seems to have jars of cooked potatoes and corn on the cob and that’s perfect - speedy, no precooking potatoes or sweetcorn as in the American ‘recipes’ I looked at this sad chopping boards worth of ingredients and nearly stopped. I used only half of everything except the prawns and put a couple of very large dollops of butter in with Cajun spices before mixing it in the bag n squeezing the air out. First go 80 degrees for 20 mins to try and avoid overcooking the prawns, it wasn’t long enough. Back on at 90 for another 15mins. Now extremely hot. Up to the boil held at 90 degrees is definitely the temp needed. This is worth eating whether on the move or not, so tasty, I will have to apologise to my Texan friend. I’d have a squeeze of lemon with it next time. Doing it again I would just have more prawns and forget about the frankfurter because quality varies wildly and moving about you wouldn’t know if they were any good. Overall well worth the small effort it took. Needed a nice glass of cold crisp white to go with it though but heyho, who would have thought that would have been worthy of a glass of wine1 point
