It's an allergic reaction to something but can't pinpoint anything in particular which is frustrating. At least it was treated before turning into a full blown anaphylaxis. They were very on the ball. I think they've had some experience on the allergy front since we were last here!5 points

I’m sitting in A&E looking at my pasty son on a gurney after a dose of adrenaline and IV steroids. Looks like it’s done the trick. Thank goodness for A&E! His heart rate kept dropping and went down to 36bpm when he lost consciousness but all looking much better now so just observations til midnight and then home for a VERY large whisky!! Me that is not him4 points

Don't give buck any bright idea to try to attach something like that to his Harley ...the crank will blow out of his primary cover...3 points

388km this afternoon riding to the centre point of France. I think this is a disputed honour and depends on how you find the centre so there must be at least two other "centre of France" markers that I can find this one is in Bruere Allichamps, about half way between Bourges and Montlucon. crossing the Loire lunch stop ( sandwich and thermos cos restaurants are 1) almost impossible to find open on a sunday these days and 2) no longer seem to exist outside the towns and cities. centre point3 points

I don't want connectivity in my lid......I get enough of technology in the rest of my life.3 points

Well I have been using the C3 for commuting and it is a joy of quiet, can quite happily sit at 70 with very little wind noise. Faster and obviously it gets a little more raucous. Anyway quiet is good but I have gotten used to listening to stuff on my phone through the Bluetooth on my Viper lid. The Viper is comfy but noisy. So to the point I wanted some Bluetooth connectivity for my Schuberth. You can buy a Senna coms kit but it is a bit spendy and I don’t really care about coms as such. So I thought about using a Bluetooth kit I bought last year to use with my RE lid, but it didn’t fit. To my surprise it fitted in the Schuberth perfectly. Is Bluetooth 5.0 so works seamlessly with my phone, also I can’t feel the speakers so all is good. Some testing to do but I am pretty chuffed with what are in effect Bluetooth speakers in my lid for £30. They will control the phone to make calls and stuff but I doubt I will use that. They came from Amazon if you want to experiment with the same chinky tat.3 points

Cheers all. Didn’t settle down enough for a safe discharge. Now on a men’s ward for another night with the usual loud and confused characters you find for yet another night awake in a sodding hospital chair! Got between zero and one bar of 4G that takes forever to load so will be out of things until I get home and some sleep. Goodnight.. maybe2 points

+1 I like singing to myself when I'm on the bike, it's also a great time for thinking. I don't want to have music and anyone jabbering in my ear while I'm riding.2 points

Because I've seen what loud bikes have done to my hobby in the last 30 years, trouble is if you live for the now and not the future it will bite you in the ass.2 points

Kids are a bloody worry aren't they? I remember having to wait in one of the Bristol Hospitals in 2000 when the eldest boy from the first marriage (23 at the time) was admitted with a collapsed lung due to his lifestyle. I'm not sure which Hospital it was but I'm sure it was on the right hand side going up a hill.2 points

Be careful Fred.......you're in the vulnerable age group. That lugging and pulling could be your undoing! My mate from Cardiff that I saw today (he's around your age) has got one as well.1 point

It's been rebuilt and added to several times since then. The childrens hospital is attatched to it now and is somewhere we have spent a lot of time in the past. I will never have anything but praise for the people that work there but it is a bitch to find somewhere to park.1 point

Fucking hell......it's really scorching outside! Town is deserted so it looks like everybody's just run for cover!1 point

The tech will need to be much more advanced and the prices a lot cheaper before I'd do that. But my experience in the Tesla when I was in NL was very impressive.1 point
