It’s in the post, monies for the desalination plant embezzled, emptying reservoirs, water for intensive farming taken from underground sources not replaced by trickle down, wildfires accelerating desertification, the mountain ice melting and not recovering. Whatever the cause a Spanishcamel sounds like a great investment. And good news a camel is happy rain or shine, has a large functional temperature range and the spare parts aren’t imported from china, ok they they spit occasionally but Petes from Swansea so it’s a perfect stead5 points

38C here today, but 40C forecast for tomorrow. It's not going below 26C tonight either! Bit of a contrast to our weekend we've just had in blighty! But it looks like Sunday will be slightly cooler. We've got severe water restrictions here now too!4 points

We lose strength and muscle mass as we get older.......I was well aware of that, but I just never had the motivation to do anything about it. Getting this Hernia was the wake up call I needed, because I don't think it would have happened if I'd been in better shape!4 points

If I went all motorway, it would take an hour and a quarter or thereabouts. Clearly I’m not gonna do that as it’s boring so I will cut across country on some of the nice roads which takes up to just over two hours. Probably about 120 km each way. The reason I’m taking it up is because the front suspension feels a little choppy, it’s the only way I can describe it although the bike handles beautifully and it’s not the front wheel bearings as I’ve checked that. I spoke to the guy up there and explained and he said bring it up and they will do a fork oil change seeing as it’s under warranty. Can’t ask fairer than that.4 points

Well it’s gonna be fucking hot tomorrow and I’ve got to take my bike up to Alicante. Wish me luck!4 points

Nowadays I prefer to ride on my own Dave, perhaps I'm turning into the Victor Meldrew of the trail world Plus most of my weekends are taken up with walking with Paolo , there's not a lot of peeps to ride with midweek.4 points

Do you prefer riding by yourself or a convenience thing? I have no doubt I'm not to far behind you. When I still had the xl600 I got stuck in a muddy hole up to the top of the front wheel. Sweated for 15mins getting the bugga shifted. Close to dead.4 points

On the stolen bikes, I always chain mine and Mandis bikes together. Makes it much more difficult to get in a van. Coupled with the disc locks makes it harder still. Not saying it would stop anyone pinching but would def make them think twice and slow them down some. On another note, supplied the wrong parts again today. Dead car on the drive, opening another bottle.4 points

Yes.....I was going to add that it's probably better that @Pedro doesn't stay overnight in Liverpool!4 points

I know you like that bike Bob i bet you will be sad to see it go. The weight is one of the reasons I've not bought one, the difference in weight between the crf and my 650 is about half a bag of cement same as your 650 but that half a bag of cements extra weight comes with almost twice the horse power.3 points

It was a Kawasaki, it probably broke down again and it was the last straw for him so he ditched it thinking his story would be more believable as he was in Swansea3 points

No, I bought one without the cord because I thought I wouldn't forget. It's maybe 20 years old, used twice. I forgot one of the times, so it's 50% fail.3 points

Only time I dropped a bike not offroad was riding a hotel in Casablanca. I carried the bloody thing for the entire trip but parking it in front of the hotel for one of the last nights I decided to put it to use. In the morning I forgot about it and as I was riding off there was a thunk! And down I went. I remember being very confused while going down and thinking “I didn’t notice a sidewalk” Since then I don’t bother with it, I do bother with safe places to park though.3 points

yeh just find some where with off road parking, most places you can tuck the bikes out of view from the road, especially if your off the beaten track, i only ever take a disc lock with me , you'll be fine , @XTreme is a twat3 points

You'll be fine mate, central city's are the main places you'd find most of that kind of trouble, keep out if them and you'll be riding your bike back as opposed to flying back alone. P.s keep away from Kent especially around six's Manor he has a van and he's not afraid to use it3 points

Don’t worry @Pedro , like everyone else has said you’ll be fine as long as you’re not in city centres and if you do stay in a city centre just somewhere there’s underground parking2 points

Yep like Spain which has a higher bike theft rate than the UK. Its another reason why UK insurance is cheaper. In fact almost all European countries have higher vehicle theft rates than the UK due to ease of moving them across borders. Mind you I do choose my accommodation based on the parking. Like going to Brighton I’m staying 20 mins outside at a rural pub because it’s not the sort of place scrotes can be bothered to travel to. I’m careful where I park in large towns, cities and ports. I always select accommodation with parking on booking.com and then view the the place and the parking on google maps street view to look at the area. I’m yet to find somewhere in Glasgow I’d be happy to leave my bike2 points

Don't worry Pedro the UK is not the worse place for bike theft he's just hating on the UK again but you would be foolish not to take some precautions there's twats in every country https://www.bikerandbike.co.uk/uk-far-worst-motorcycle-theft/2 points

I can’t be bothered watching stuff like this anymore as most of it is fucking idiotic, only a small percentage of it makes me laugh. The number of twats with hardly any common sense, a complete lack of awareness of their own ability and an over inflated opinion of their worth never ceases to amaze me. Cunts.2 points
