Got out on the bike early this morning before it gets too hot forecast says it could hit 17 deg C today i was out at 07:00 and home by 10:30 Anywho the real reason was to see how my arm would cope on the bike as i haven't ridden it since it started hurting. It was a little foggy at home when i set off so naturally i headed up to my mountain to see if it was clear up there and it was. i wont be surprised if Pete calls photo shop here saying that's not fog it should be black as its coal dust Headed over to one of the hills in the above photo to see if it i could get better shots but it was much the same These are looking into the Cynon valley And this is looking into the Merthyr valley from the same spot I took a few photos on the rock which i shall bore you with. It's a place i used to play and climb as a kid we call it the gap some call it the giants bite but its the gap end of This is below where i took the above photo Looking through the gap You can just make out the radio mast on the left of the hill in the background which is where i took the first two photos Since i was here again i decided to test my lights in the tunnel since repositioning them. They are pretty good the photo makes them better than they are in real life Someone has a sense of humour LOL Headed home from here but wanted to check out a road on the way back I've been talking with the council about getting re opened, I last rode this over 15 years ago cant remember it being this bad though, most of it is relatively easy this is where it starts getting hard, i got off the bike and walked it for the next 200 yards as underneath all the brambles is loose slippery rock and its down hill which the photos don't show well. Its going to need some lane maintenance before its ready to ride and yes this was a road you could drive your car along years ago. Tree was a little low to ride under This old road is only about a mile from my house so it was home from here the arm was ok it didn't hurt anymore riding the bike over rough terrain then it does when i'm sat on the sofa so that's one good thing i suppose.6 points

It is a dinghy dolly with ammo cans strapped to it. It was an interesting setup every time you looked at it you spotted something different. I liked the mini compressor he had mounted and wired.3 points

Most air con units can be used as dehumidifiers to a certain extent and they don't only cool things down they can be used to heat rooms as well and they can be more efficient at heating than a normal plug in electric heater.2 points

Great photos. Looks like you had a good ride. Nothing like looking at other peoples ride pics whilst sat on your arse to make you feel very lazy.. I'll just sit that feeling out, wouldn't want to do anything hasty like get up and do stuff2 points

Unless you have some cheap ass chinese aircon read the instructions and you'll see thats exactly what it does. edit - scratch that, give the instructions to your wife2 points

Nice bit in a newsletter (for the UK). Bike thefts are falling, something we can all raise a glass to, down 2.6% on last year in January-May. And the recovery rate is soaring, with nearly 6000 of just over 9200 bikes recovered (though not necessarily in pristine condition).2 points

Just got back from Brighton. Brothers new baby (for a 7 week old) is genuinely really cute. Had a good time but knackered so I think no decorating for me this weekend, just a visit to the crown decorating centre to get even MORE paint One new baby. and one delightful baby2 points

No mate, none whatsoever. We keep the house well ventilated during winter, windows open and doors too to let plenty of fresh air in. Night time we make sure the log burner is on. Seems to work well.1 point
