You know some people get pissed up and make twats of themselves, or get stroppy and punchy? Well I reckon there's a possibility that her excessive drinking is causing her to go out and buy POS third world bikes! There's no other logical explanation!4 points

You probably need less than you think if you adjust your expectations a little. We did and it’s worked out okay. Obviously we can’t change the car/bike whenever we fancy it and in fact buy new anymore but there are some big advantages to living over here. A few disadvantages obviously but on the whole it’s been a positive move. Good luck with whatever you decide but for gods sake don’t leave it too long or you may come to regret it.4 points

I might go and look at a bike today but time is limited as I have some chores to do and Ersilia has a shitty cold, we will see.4 points

Don't think it has the power to stretch a chain Pete ...imagine you could probably run that with a bungee cord.3 points

It's definitely cheaper to live out here than in Britain. When I see what they pay for Gas, Water, Electricity, Council Tax etc I don't know how people manage. We pay about €50 a month electric, €50 a quarter water, Council Tax €170 a year, and about €50 a month on wood pellets from November to April. I think food is a lot cheaper as well, but it's difficult for me to be specific because it's so long since I was in Britain.3 points

Dear Mr Peter Xtreme Thank-you for the delightful invitation, it was gratefully received. Unfortunately I will have to politely decline owing to currently not wishing to lose the will to live. There are no doubt many psychiatric reports from various professionals over the years which will likely reveal all you could ever want to know. Yours Sincerely SCM3 points

At a loose end today so thought I would pop up to Exeter to have a look at the shiny things in Bridge Motorcycles. A big multi dealership. Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, BMW, BSA and Triumph. Never been before and fancied a jolly. Really big selection of big late model bikes. I liked the look of this AT plus there a couple of Z1000’s kitted out for touring that I liked. Not that I am planning to change but it is nice to look. Also took a real shine to this Tiger 660. I wonder if they do lowering kits. I had a spud in the on-site Cafe the headed out across Devon to get to Bude on the North Coast. Really nice ride on some lovely biking roads. Bude was as lovely as ever. It made a change coming into it from the North side. Coffee ice cream went down well. Trip stats plus a sore ass. Also the Mrs has gone dark cause I said I would only be a couple of hours2 points

Just seen rumours on Twitter that the Sunday Times is dropping a bombshell story this weekend! Biggest of the year, supposedly. Staff leave has been cancelled and security tightened! Reputed to be a sex scandal of some kind, possibly involving a politician, a celebrity, or even a Royal. My money's on the Prince of Pegging again! Wonder if Ryanair will repeat their Tweet?2 points

Not that I have been on the scoot much this summer, but there have been very few bug splats on my visor or on the front of the scoot when i have been out......and also noticed that there ain't been many Bumble Bees in our garden this summer.2 points

Just had the bike up on the axle stand to lube the chain! I've done nearly 4000kms (2500 miles) on it and it's never needed a chain adjustment. Having said that, I'm not riding it harshly, and the chain is always cleaned and lubed regularly. The back wheel is always cleaned with WD40 at the same time! Tyre pressures, oil, and water level checked as well......all fine! And I got all the bloody flies off from last weekend as well.2 points

You were judging dossing about? So there was a Dossing competition? Considering the area you went to, there was probably a strong field! Brits and Spaniards! But my money will always be on the Dago! It's embedded in their DNA!2 points

Cost of living seems cheaper over there , although not looked in to it properly for living there full time … when the time comes that we could do it will do my homework .2 points

I will. It was all nice tarmac roads, though, Sofia’s Triumph isn’t a trail bike.2 points

It also repeatedly shows the same limited photos over and over, meaning the bedrooms and bathrooms are shite.2 points
