  3. Yes Gaylord, cycling. I could have taken his Triumph Bobber or the Honda VFR400 out but didn’t trust myself not to do something stupid.

  6. As we have so many people of limited intelligence here, I'll phrase this ride report in a meaningful way that hopefully they can understand! Once upon a time....... .......I took a trip up into the Sierra de Cazorla going via the opposite side of the reservoirs......passing through Santiago de la Espada! And this is a route I'd take visitors on.....in fact, Dell and Lyn did it in 2007. I hadn't been up there for some years.....it was great fun when I first came here, but now it's bloody hard work. Cos you spend most of the time in second and third gear with switchback bends on adverse cambers every 50 metres or so. At points the road surface isn't too clever and there's big drops either side onto rocks. Then you've got wild boar, deer, and goats that sprint across the road or jump off the banks right into your path. Plus the occasional twat in a car or bike.....who are incapable of setting up the bends correctly. If that's not enough, there's no phone signal or towns for 50 kms! So this isn't the place to fuck things up. Now ask yourself........could you see yourself riding here? This is the perfect bike for this sort of stuff......it was hard work on the R1150GS! My left wrist used to kill me with all the gearchanges. Just crossing into Jaen province at this point..... We're still at some altitude..... Looking down right across the valley! When I got back to town it was fuel up again (bike always goes in the garage with a full tank).......and a serious Jet Wash as it was covered in flies and dust! On the way back I passed 20k kms......it was 15.5k when I got it 15 months ago. Not a lot admittedly, but with roads like these you can fit a lot of motorcycling into a relatively modest mileage. So if you want to participate in a motorcycling extravaganza of truly epic proportions such as this......I'm ready when you are!

  11. @Pedro you owe me 120 knicker. after you embarrassed me with my bin bag blinds in the marmite wagon I had to buy some proper ones testing them out over the next few days. Currently down in Pembrokeshire eating my favourite dead animal with some fishy stuff and chips

  12. Redesign after redesign. I've been melting a lot of plastic around here lately, but I think I'm finally done - if this one needs to be stiffer it's got places to bolt braces to. Now to print it out in a decent material, but that's going to have to wait few days. I have way too many of these sitting around that became previous versions before the prints were even complete. Pay no mind to the yellow strap, it's just something I had sitting around. It'll be replaced before use.

  15. Started well with a ten mile electric mountain bike ride around the local trails. What an incredible bit of kit, climbed some long, steep, gravel hills on ‘ xtreme mode’ and it was easy. How on earth could anyone get fit on one of these? Spent a few hours with my dad being a general skivvy and now back at a pub just a few minutes walk from my mate’s swanky pad to watch the football and drink overpriced beer………..£6.10 for Madri and £5.10 for Guinness.

  17. Rode to my place, it's 33º here so pretty warm. On the way over was riding steadily on the road and suddenly there's a baja racecar next to me flat out on a dirt road. They're running it now, I made sure to shift down to fifth and leave it behind using the nice smooth tarmac to my advantage, instead of being engulfed in the dust cloud it was leaving behind. Didn't take any pictures, lots of bikes around today, all in big groups so didn't stop anywhere for even a coffee as everything was crowded.

  26. So about a month ago I came across this bike for sale, I'll admit that this model was not on my radar at all but after going to have a look at it I bought it there and then. No matter how good a secondhand bike is there are usually some things you need to address , whether that be personal preference or something not working quite right. I have bought this bike primarily for trail riding , it probably won't be a dual purpose bike like my CRF250 Rally was as the Donkey can fulfill that role. So with that in mind there were some things it needed to be right for me. First and foremost was a change of handlebars as the O/E bars were too narrow and not high enough so a Pro-Taper CR High was ordered along with some SW Motech 20mm risers and Acerbis X-Factor hand guards...... The O/E bars were stripped of their belongings ................... and the new items fitted. It all went together without too much fuss...................... and then some Oxford Advanced heated grips were fitted...............

  27. Im rather proud of myself this evening, finished a long term project restoring a “Louis Philippe” wardrobe ( 1840 ish) that belonged to wifes grandfather and had been left to fester in an outhouse. I’m not a cabinet maker or restorer but i reckoned i could make it useable again and possibly nice looking even. The photos are probably fkin hooge, sorry, no access to poota just mow. Ikea are shit compared to this, the whole thing gous from flat pack to fully operational in about an hour, all held together with just 6 wooden pins on top of this achievement, i managed to diagnose and repair the 12v socket on the tiger ( im crap at electrics and hate it but got away with this one

  38. But I don't ride because its too hot, too cold, too windy, too wet, too dry, there's not enough dmb's on the route. I don't ride because I don't get any time to myself over the weekend

  40. At the risk of sounding like a parrot because I've said this to you before LOL Yes that's why i traded the 2022 bike in as i hadn't done any of the scheduled maintenance other than oil changes. 3 hours is the first service which is the equivalent to your road bikes 500 mile service, its to get rid of any manufacturing and assembly debris in the gearbox. On the 2022 bike i thought i was draining glitter out of the gearbox this one not so much, Oil changes are a doddle to do only takes about 10 minutes and only 800ml of oil so cheap and no filter to change.

  41. Had good ride on the Italian supermodel today she went out a virgin and came back a filthy whore even my mate had a go on her The suspension is far better than the stock 2022 bike, it feels the same as the old bike but after i changed the springs so hopefully i wont need to change them on this one, the seat yes the seat, all i can say is if it don't soften up i can see a seat concepts in its place it was like sitting on a concrete block. Overall i'm very pleased with the bike first oil change done at 2.5 hours next is at 30 hours but will probably change it at 15 hours and go to 30 after that Only two photos taken in the same place to busy enjoying the ride to take anymore. Forgot to say balls still intact LOL
