I don't really want to retire to be honest. Don't get me wrong I am halfway there as I am only contracted for 19 hours a week at the moment by choice. I do more when I want and probably work full time most weeks. My current job facilitates this. But whatever it is I want to be doing something until I peg it, my mental health suffers when I don't work.6 points

Obviously new and everything is pretty tight, sounds really good on the standard pipe and you can feel it is an angry fucker. Wants to go even though I have yet to run it in. Haven't found it jerky on and off throttle or overly tippy into the bends like most of the Youtubers are moaning about. Feels like a CB500 with better brakes and tighter handling, which for me is perfect. I am chuffed to bits with it. Probably some gushing to follow once I have some more miles on it.6 points

Do you have a food bank near you @Clive ? See if they want any volunteers, you’ll be doing some good and probably find it rewarding5 points

That right there is why you should never give up even if you just do some voluntary work. I average about 20 hours a week (although I do stuff on the computer at home as well). Once you do nothing you have nothing to occupy your mind and it's so easy to drift into thinking negative thoughts. It's a downward spiral from there5 points

Seems like the good weather is on the way out...... .......and tomorrow it's the Albox trip for me! Now that'll give you all something to talk about! However, I plan to get out on the boring, gay moped on Sunday! Usual thing......riding around the block taking photos of collapsed buildings and dead animals! But why change the habits of a lifetime? So now's the time where you can inspire and enthrall everybody with the epic events that you have planned for this weekend!4 points

Well my day just had a big uptick. There’s only a blinking Chinese restaurant ‘Dragón asiático’ a ten minute walk from here, result!!4 points

Natures good though, walking, cycling, nature spotting whether it’s flowers, insects or birds ticking them off when you’ve hunted down their favoured habitat. Then you can get into the zoology and how they fit into the ecosystem. That’s stuff is pretty cool and nice n cheap!4 points

A nice little ride to airport parking, a flight home from temps of mid 20s to the cold and rain But home in time for the rugby, the boys will be down for the merriment, I’ll get to see the dogs and I have new crockery n ingredients being delivered for new recipes to try out so I’m really looking forward to it. I also ordered up all the necessaries for a new Sunday brekky, which I won’t risk serving on its own because it’s unusual so will be bolstered by sausages, bacon and sauté potatoes for those who don’t like the new stuff, plus some lovely ham hocks and all the trimmings for a corking Sunday lunch later. It’s a weeny bit sneaky cos I know after breakfast the boys will want to go back to their place to lounge about and game on there 1000 speed internet but the lure of a full roast will trump that Mind you invariably when I plot these things they both get on my pip and I wish they’d bugger off back to their place4 points

I was watching on the news yesterday that the severe rain storms affecting Portugal are heading your way Pete, if they are it's proper amounts of water. If it'll continue like now, I'll just hang around the house. If it clears up I might take the bike for a little ride around since I'm north, visit a couple of roads I used to do on the Transalp, but this time not getting stuck on the mountains.4 points

I'm looking forward to this weekend. Not today as I have to start moving furniture in a moment as the carpet fitters are coming . Tomorrow Paolo and I will be on our way to Weymouth (in the car ) to stay there for a weekend of walking and just doing whatever we feel like, I'm hoping the rain showers will go somewhere else but it doesn't look that promising .4 points

I don’t get the thought behind getting your seat out, and leaving your phone there to charge while riding only to have to go get it when you stop. Other brands do it, makes no sense in real life.3 points

The last picture with the boats is really nice. So, first thing you do with a new bike is park it one meter away from the sea?3 points

I have walked around the park and Heathland many time, it seems to be only Pigeons and Magpies that live there. I have not got a cycle not ridden one since my mid 20,s, tubby has never ridden a bike in her life, in her condition and being nearly 70 years old i doubt she could now, She cannot walk far, she cannot even make it to Magpies Park, and pathways around it are uneven and some have gradients. I am not being dismissive of your suggestion though @Slowlycatchymonkey3 points

Great video here . Those boys do well on those bikes although it looks like the steps on Lime Kiln Lane defeated them. Not really surprising , I think I'd only come down them nowadays and only on a little bike. (05.37)2 points

And so has Pedro and Lyn! The thing is with this lot Phil......they talk a lot but just can't back it up! We've seen it all before! Pity you can't make it over here cos we could give them an experience they'd never forget! I know Dell hasn't!2 points
