Firstly, I wanted to test out the photo quality of my new phone cos it's got a 100 megapixel camera! I was very impressed with the results as you'll see with the pics in this thread.....the colours are much sharper! And I also wanted to check out what my old phone was like using it as a GPS and see what adjustments I needed to make. I'm glad I didn't go too far at any sort of speed because it came loose......the Quadlock sticky pad just wasn't up to it. So I'll be putting a 3M pad on it instead, as those things never come off. The angle of the phone was pointing up a bit too much so I've lowered the angle of the bracket....so that's sorted as well. The main failure was the brightness of Google Maps on my old phone! Because despite being on the highest brightness it still wasn't bright enough. I'll have to check how I can get round that. Anyway.....here's a few shots! Water level really low now! I was impressed with the colours on these two...... My BOTM shot Bike hadn't been used for 3 weeks......started first touch of the button though. You listening @Marcel? So there you are......you can now knock yourselves out niggling about the bike, the top box, and anything else you don't think meets your discerning standards. But ultimately......I'm the one that's actually riding......and you're not!5 points

This is the time, October 2023's most prestigious motorcycling accolade is about to grace one of our members, you choose who and what bike wins our Bike Of The Month October. Please vote according to what you feel like, be it best scenery, best bike, best trip, best scenery, best picture, person you least hate, it doesn't really matter as long as you do vote and don't forget to switch before it's final. I'm setting the poll to close on the 31st at 21:00. Here are our choices for this month: @boboneleg's Yamaha WR250X, chilling by the canal on a moody day: @Marcel's sleek Indian Challenger Limited, out in Canada's changing Autumn colours @MooN's Triumph Tiger 800XC, out on a romantic french vineyard dirt road: @Pedro's BMW R1200GS Adventure, overlooking a lighthouse on Portugal's Atlantic shore: @Saul's brand new Honda CB750 Hornet, here enjoying a cool morning in Mevagissey, Cornwall. @Six30's fast and shiny BMW S1000R stopped for a break on bucolic Wrotham. @Tango's Triumph Street Scrambler 900 out on historic France. You can almost see ghosts of musketeers past galloping along the road. @XTreme's ultra clean Honda CB500X styling high in the Andalusian mountains4 points

They are awarded when the good husband does something before he is asked. They are banked for future credit against something of a good husband might want to do. However, these credits can also be debited from the good husband account if he doesn’t do things that he has been asked to do. .The number of credits needed for any particular thing is subject to negotiation between a good husband, and the lucky wife, These credits are also known as gold stars in some societies.4 points

Well that's the bike taxed and insured... £116 for the tax £256 for the insurance which is over a thousand quid cheaper than bemoto wanted for my renewal, it really boggles the mind how they can quote the renewal so much yet without even really shopping around I get a quote like this, and that was with legal aid and helmet and leathers cover which I didn't have on the old policy. Win win for me now I'll be using the bike to go to work for the foreseeable as the jag is out of mot ad it needs both intake manifolds replaced which is a pig of a job4 points

If you're on a PC you can download the Irfan View app. https://www.irfanview.com/ It's free and it will open almost any image format. It also let's you convert several files at ones if you want/need. It has several other features, like resize, crop, etc... I've been using it for years. It's great.3 points

Giving the bike a check over for my upcoming trip in a couple of weeks time. Thought I’d do it now rather than last minute.……..oh and painting the outside of the garden walls to smarten them up and get some good-husband points in the bag.3 points

I took it to the dyno to see what it's putting out. I've done about 1300 miles on it this year which whilst not all that much it doesn't matter, I've been spending time with my family because I'm away pretty much all week and skye wants to spend all the time possible with me so I can't deny her that just so I can go out on the bike2 points

And only ridden it twice! And one of those was to take it to the Dyno! Why exactly did you do that.......to make it faster laid up in the garage?2 points

I did manage to get out for a couple of hundred km this afternoon, I rode the back roads up north as far as Nanteau sur Lunain ( long story...) had a coffee in the local boulangerie / café and a chat with the owner and then took the route nationale home. Weather was shit, windy with rain showers. I got the first rain shower about an hour into the ride and though my gear is water proof the temps dropped with the arrival of the rain so I pulled over at a bus shelter to add the thermal liner to my jacket. Heated grips and new winter gloves bought in Dijon last week, made the rest of the day positively bearable. Great wee bus stop, complete with free library!1 point
