She hardly sits for longer than 10 mins, always on the go, playing skittles now, I am the person who has to keep standing them up again, again, again.6 points

You're right, the patient usually doesn't survive long enough for it to become an issue.5 points

Early start today cos I had to be at the Health Centre at 8AM to have my blood taken. Then over to feed the horses, and back to the Health Centre by 9AM for an ECG. Those tests are now done so the next step is the Preparatory appointment in Baza Hospital on Thursday at 9AM.5 points

Good to see we're now attracting cerebral and educated people like yourself Dany. Makes a change from getting stuck with people from the very shallow end of the gene pool.4 points

Too late it’s gone, I wrote the post and immediately set about eradicating the animal living on my head!4 points

Decided that now I’m 50 I’d let my grey hair grow and embrace it. Well turns out I’m still only grey in a strip down the centre of my head. I look like I’d be a good fit for someone.. Edit- I’m 51 not 50, it’s ok to start forgetting that stuff now right?4 points

Firstly, I wanted to test out the photo quality of my new phone cos it's got a 100 megapixel camera! I was very impressed with the results as you'll see with the pics in this thread.....the colours are much sharper! And I also wanted to check out what my old phone was like using it as a GPS and see what adjustments I needed to make. I'm glad I didn't go too far at any sort of speed because it came loose......the Quadlock sticky pad just wasn't up to it. So I'll be putting a 3M pad on it instead, as those things never come off. The angle of the phone was pointing up a bit too much so I've lowered the angle of the bracket....so that's sorted as well. The main failure was the brightness of Google Maps on my old phone! Because despite being on the highest brightness it still wasn't bright enough. I'll have to check how I can get round that. Anyway.....here's a few shots! Water level really low now! I was impressed with the colours on these two...... My BOTM shot Bike hadn't been used for 3 weeks......started first touch of the button though. You listening @Marcel? So there you are......you can now knock yourselves out niggling about the bike, the top box, and anything else you don't think meets your discerning standards. But ultimately......I'm the one that's actually riding......and you're not!3 points

This is the time, October 2023's most prestigious motorcycling accolade is about to grace one of our members, you choose who and what bike wins our Bike Of The Month October. Please vote according to what you feel like, be it best scenery, best bike, best trip, best scenery, best picture, person you least hate, it doesn't really matter as long as you do vote and don't forget to switch before it's final. I'm setting the poll to close on the 31st at 21:00. Here are our choices for this month: @boboneleg's Yamaha WR250X, chilling by the canal on a moody day: @Marcel's sleek Indian Challenger Limited, out in Canada's changing Autumn colours @MooN's Triumph Tiger 800XC, out on a romantic french vineyard dirt road: @Pedro's BMW R1200GS Adventure, overlooking a lighthouse on Portugal's Atlantic shore: @Saul's brand new Honda CB750 Hornet, here enjoying a cool morning in Mevagissey, Cornwall. @Six30's fast and shiny BMW S1000R stopped for a break on bucolic Wrotham. @Tango's Triumph Street Scrambler 900 out on historic France. You can almost see ghosts of musketeers past galloping along the road. @XTreme's ultra clean Honda CB500X styling high in the Andalusian mountains3 points

Shut up @Marcel. There's 8 bikes, if 8 members can't vote there would be nobody else.3 points

Dyno a bike that's probably the fastest model on the road......which never goes anywhere. And on the rare occasions you do use it you're getting 65mpg.......so you're obviously not using the power you've already got.3 points

Tbh I stopped looking at the BOTM thread a while ago when it went rule mad. But if six enters thats who I vote for first. Then I’ll randomly move it to whoever has the least votes (usually you, you topbox horror shop) then eventually on the last switch I’ll actually look at the photos and vote for the pic I like best. If I remember3 points

Mine started early 30's in the front......eventually I ended up looking like a skunk! So that's why I started colouring my hair in my 40's. The grey wouldn't have bothered me so much if it had grown throughout......but it was all going on the stripe. By my early 50's the rest of my head had mostly caught up so no more colourant.3 points

My wife had a Mallen Streak from the age of 23, it slowly spread over her head, some of her hair now is grey, some is white, and some is honey blonde with a vèy small amount of black.....our daughter is going the same route too, much to her annoyance.3 points

Tis global Pete. Spain sits between the UK and France for resistant staph with the US top of the charts. Although theres not a huge amount in it numbers wise. But I wouldn’t worry about it. Even if it caused you a problem they’re much better at recognising and treating it now, there are still antibiotics that work, they’re just the ones that fell out of favour for causing GI upsets.2 points

Nothing, it’s a city. Tis the same if not more upmarket than decades ago, fighting gentrification in fact. But if you will go comparing it to Swansea..2 points

Has been known. All the pubs have slate floors so a few inches of flooding is fine as long as you have the right footwear or don’t mind padding. Not joking, have done it on many a spring tide in the past.2 points
