Much better looking than the previous one but still can't understand where all the weight comes from at 195KG for a 450cc bike it must be made of osmium. Reading the bumf on it they say it's 7Ibs lighter than its predecessor, i it would be fucking hard to make it any heavier.4 points

And today marks 18 years in Spain for us! That means I've spent 26% of my life in Spain, and for the wife it's nearly 30%. Are you missing me yet @Renegade?3 points

The 10 year old Whirlwind has gone home!, We get 3 days to recover our strength but only have her next Monday, then she is back to school on Tuesday. Monday is a inset day, why could teachers not have the inset day during the past 2 weeks holiday.3 points

I thought that too But they manufacture with indo-Asians in mind who expect to be able to fix things cheaply (ie it bends back and is easily welded) so they make a lot of it from steel.2 points

I'm back! They checked results of the tests, took blood pressure.....all was fine! And then they took measurements (not of my dick obviously). 179cms and 72kg if you must know! Which appears to be perfect..... It was the first time I'd had measurements taken for over 20 years. It seems I might have lost maybe half a cm height, and about 7 or 8 kilos in weight. I knew I was a lot lighter now because in Britain I was drinking lots of full fat milk and eating regular chip shop meals plus burgers, kebabs, eggs etc. Whereas here I eat loads of pasta, vegetables, fruit, and only white meat. Now I just wait for the call.......but they have no idea when!2 points

I'd say we'd be worth £25 quid a head for the first year then double the second year.... Basically each year's subscription would go up as the more years servitude to us the more they must like it here so the more they should be paying. Then we can retire to watch our minions worshipping us2 points

What do you call those speeches people do after someone dies. ?...a urologi? I think we should start one for Pete when he's half lucid and a foot in the grave...he could look back and remenes the good years. ..I'll start I suppose. Ya Pete was a good chap...with some questionable taste in bike like the Bm with the notorious brake problem ....even thoe he couldn't turn a wrench it never stopped him from venturing into some wasteland with dog shit everywheres and taking dumps into those abandoned homes..more to fallow...but it's all I have for now....1 point

It's a great beginner bike, very easy to ride. Light clutch, good breaks, nice torque (it requires some finesse to manage the accelerator at slow speeds though). Nimble and fun to ride at slow-ish speeds and great fuel consumption. It has the downside of all naked bikes, which is getting hit by the wind quickly, but other than that I love it.1 point

Couldn't pass up some decent weather this last weekend....so I was off for some exercise aboard the 'Goose. Can't say enough about riding in NE Oregon....the views absolutely blow away just about anything on the left side of the state... Heading out on the east side of Elgin....after crossing the Grand Ronde river & Gordon creek here....then the long gravel uphill to the cemetery....which reminded me of just how old I'm getting....lol Fortunately, I persevered!.... Gotta be honest, @ this point I didn't have enough left in the tank to finish this climb as the cemetery is about halfway up this hill.....a destination for another time & then I'll get some pics of Mt. Harris. Needless to say, I definitely enjoyed the sprint back down this gravel hill....barely made the corner @ the bridge! Eventually eased up on the pace to stop for a water break here on the way home... My personal goal is to ride ALOT more so I can eventually justify buying a Yamaha eMtnBike & expand my range.1 point

I discovered that my great grandfather on my mother's side was actually born in Ireland in 1840. But that don't make me Irish any more than your girl being born in Canada is Scottish. I don't understand this obsession (particular with Americans) for claiming to be Irish, Italian, Polish etc cos somebody in their family tree happened to be born there. In terms of my ancestry, the Irish great grandfather is the only one on both my parents' sides that wasn't Welsh. I can live with a bit of Irish though.1 point
