What with storm Ciara and then Domingo the atlantic depressions and the shitty weather they generate here, despite being 500 kilo;eters inland fro; the atlantic, were causing my own minin depression so I said " merde!" to it and profiting from an easing of the wind and rain, geared up and went for ride. I actually managed to dodge most of the rain, though not al of it, and rode on either bone dry windswept roads or half flooded windswept roads having arrived after the deluge. In fact, it was all so windswept that I have a windswept hair look INSIDE my helmet... I managed to do 140 ish km mostly around the backroads. I took a couple of pics while it wasn't raining. 12 century North gate in Joigny5 points

I gave in to my motorcycle seat fetish this week, i now have two seats for every bike i own again LOL, Picked up a seat concepts low comfort seat for the Beta in the week hoping to test ride it tomorrow The rad guards i picked up had to go back as they had built them wrong, the front of the guards were upside down he says he will have replacements this Tuesday and post them out to me, that will be the last of the spending on it other than consumables. I've been keeping a record and i have spent £1200 on parts on top of the cost of the bike to get it to where i want it, although there is still the LED headlight, that might be a Christmas present to myself maybe LOL5 points

Got out today to try my new seat out ended up the same place as last weekend but with much more time to play with so rode most of the lanes in the area, spent over five hours riding and cannot believe how much difference there is between the stock seat and the seat concepts one, I got home with no monkey butt whatsoever, only regret is i should have gone for the standard height seat instead of the low one there's about 25mm difference between them, the low one is ultra comfy so the standard height one must be like an armchair. Almost every lane had water running along them took some photos of the best of them. The heavens opened in the afternoon but it didn't matter as i was on my way home and everything was soaking anyway. The low sun flickering through the trees and glaring off the water on the roads and trails made riding difficult in places as i couldn't see where i was going, Thoroughly enjoying the new bike even though its the same it rides different just seems easier to ride. Some wet photos of the day. looking down to where i am in the photo above And this is why i have such a heavy pipe guard gave it a hell of a donk on a rock, pipe would have needed blowing out it it wasn't fitted for sure This was last weekends outing but the same lane ridden today, made sure i missed the rock today4 points

On her mazda the front right brake pipe is starting to perish and on the jag the rear pads were below the legal limit which is a surprise since they were changed last year so nothing too big, got new pads and new pipe for 44 quid and they get the job of replacing them, the jag has an electronic handbrake and whilst I could do it I don't really have the will to be fucking around on the driveway in the wet/cold3 points

But they say now that it comes from the mother's side. Is that right @Slowlycatchymonkey? At 35 I had a full head of hair, but my eldest boy at 35 is bald. But being married to that fucking thing may have been a contributory factor.3 points

It's actually not has bad has you think...around town the averages 9.1 l per 100km...highway at 120kph average it averages 13l per 100km....it's got this cylinders deactivation tec...it shutdown cylinders has needed...few years ago chevy would go from eight to four cylinders depending on engine load but it was annoying has hell..you could feel it when it was switching ...this is a new design...it can run on two cylinders and you can't feel a thing...even the sound of the engine is muted somehow though some fancy exaust work.2 points

It's a 6.2l naturally aspirated engine ...same engine platform that was used in the corvette a few years ago...it's detune a little of corse...this one has a borla exhaust from factory...pumps out about 430 hp.2 points

Chevy trucks are pretty well dominant around here...anybody that knows anything...still the easiest truck to work on...it's just still a simple design...you can still swap out the plugs in 15 min flat....some take hours like the Ford wich notoriously breacks the sparkplug in the head....I'm no longer doing them at the shop..waste of time and money. They all have there little twerks... Chevys have had some oil pump issues. Ford are just garbage...Twin turbo car engines basically...most serious repairs the cab of the truck has to be removed...just a awful design...you definitely don't want to keep it after the warranty runs out. Dodge Rams..a pig on gaz...manifold studs always breaking in the heads...we must do one of at least once a week...and the rust like crazy.2 points

That's a nice looking machine wonder of they will do a dual sport version and looking at the specs this is a prime example of why i can't get my head around the weight of the Himalayan. it's 151KG and 650cc that's 44KG less than the new Himalayan why ? To sum it up Ducati Himalayan2 points

I believe these pickup trucks are just to large for big cities and the price of them alone and having them converted to right hand side drive would be ridiculous....think they probably pull out for just lack of sales including there line up of cars.1 point
