Shit start to the weekend just been to my Uncle's funeral, very raw and emotional, he was one of the very few in my family that I was close to. Gonna go out on the Hornet in a minute after a brew to clear my head. Then doze this afternoon for work tonight. Saturday is clear so hopefully can finish running in my Hornet once I have slept. Sunday I have Christmas Choir practice down the west then work again overnight after the Wassailing.6 points

Nothing like a nice long bike ride by yourself to help cope with emotions.5 points

Indirect methods called ‘temperature proxies’ like fossils (eg tree rings), ice and rocks that indicate the temperature range occurring at that time. I’d go into more detail if it wasn’t completely pointless5 points

Sound like a job for my professional Doc assessment...try this...crab your cock and see if it expands at the same time has the caugh...you might have a defective penis valve.4 points

That's definitely not me i can't bunny hop and heard you can't breath at 10mph so stay well away from there LOL4 points

In my opinion that is one of the issues with anything chinese. The confidence they inspire so far is pretty poor when it comes to parts availability or long term support. Similar to buying an Aprilia4 points

Send out warning letters to the lazy gits who don't add much content to the forum. A short.......oh just mo, postman is at the door.4 points

If they're charging you 50 or 70€ an hour and invoicing you from BMW's scheduled maintenance times, maybe, but that's not the reality of things in a good specialized mechanic. Granted, if having a very cheap bike to fix is a priority, don't get a BMW boxer of any generation, I think they're inexpensive to run according to plan but breakdowns are sometimes costly.4 points

Just the usual here, i may clear the fallen leaves, and I have a washer & tumble dryer (daughters) to look at, she seems to have overloaded it and buggered up the bearings...again.4 points

Too much nitpicking and criticising and judging from people that post absolutely nothing at all about bikes or riding bikes or whatever. If it’s not to someone’s tastes then move on, but negativity and sucking the life and joy out of the place isn’t cool. By not making the slight effort to even post outside of the usual diatribe that’s what one does, makes it less alive.4 points

they probably only do 10mph... ride through a few puddles and bunny hop over small rocks, then stop and photoshop some pictures.4 points

Give the man some respect, he has done nearly 32 miles on his bike this year alone!4 points

@busabeast I´ll be the one to say it since you can´t read between the lines. They won't hand one of their bikes over for you to thrash off-roading trying to prove you're the new off-roading prodigy.4 points

We're about to breack the warmest year in 2023 for the last 120 thousand year... Did they have weatherman running around the planet taking temperature reading a 100 thousand years ago..? Where do they come up with this nonsense ?3 points

It's strange because I feel fine most of the time, aching very slightly and I am more tired than usual its just this cough and even then I'm not coughing permanently it seems to be at around the same times each day. Tiredness is because I'm not sleeping that well now, aches I'm putting down to the coughing. Coughing I'm putting down to a fast(hopefully) approaching death3 points
-
Coughing disrupts blood flow and pressure. Coughing can affect your eyes. Tis GP time matey, not because I think there’s anything serious going on but you need someone to have a look make sure you don’t bust a blood vessel and the cough isn’t bacterial.3 points

I did a clutch renewal on (when I had one) my Yamaha T Max scoot, what a faff about that was, so many components to it. Not a engine out job, but a pain to do it.3 points

Weather is depressing outside. Tomorrow I might take the GS to my mechanic for a service, spark plugs and valve check. Also going to be taking the clutch apart to measure a certain shaft for play, the clutch has been acting weird in a way that makes it feel like it never completely disengages so makes it harder to find neutral, and makes it clunky (more than the usual clunky) from first to second gear, this is usually a symptom of a worn clutch on these bikes but that isn't the case. If it comes out with a clean bill of health I'll maybe go for a proper ride in a few days. Apart from that, nothing planned.3 points

WE need a Van Action thread! Strangely enough they get a lot of views......I think people are drawn to them by the suspense of seeing whether the bike actually comes out of the van!3 points

Not at all! The guys here that know me personally will tell you that I really don't give a shit what anybody thinks on a personal level. But in my role as the Admin of this forum who hears from people that don't bother posting much (if at all) any more for various reasons, then I obviously take those points on board. Nothing wrong with banter or having a laugh obviously......that's what builds a community. People like to come on and have a laugh, but there has to be more depth than that. We need people to actually make the effort to help us build this forum into something that people will want to visit. On both a personal and informational level. Now when you consider everybody gets this forum at no cost to them I don't think it's too much to ask.3 points

I dunno Pete that post sounds like it’s from someone who’s been wound up, let us know about what cos you know how much everyone enjoys a weak spot3 points

If you were 70 years old in the 40’s you would be talking the same way about the japs you’re looking back at what they have achieved not what they could achieve their bikes build quality is getting worse and the chunk stuff is getting better. I can see that between my old and new model Africa twin3 points

Dirty polluting spying bastards can go do one, and take their poorly built crap with them.3 points
