Right ruined the look of the Hornet for practicality. This will give you lot a laugh I can't find the bolts to fit my Givi mount for the top box. . They will turn up I am sure but still a pisser. I had the sense to put the mount in the box itself why the feck I didn’t put the fixings in there as well I don’t know.7 points

Off to the audiology department at 11am, I have a appointment to see Dr. Jammaifuendi (it's something like that) who I can't hear (obviously ) and my wife cannot understand a thing he says because of his very very strong accent, it seems a waste of time as he will tell us what we already know, but if I don't attend they knock me out of their system, which would mean going back to my doctor and starting the process all over again....it gets us out of the bungalow for a couple of hours.....I would rather go to the pub though.7 points

I've got a Covid-19 booster booked in for this afternoon. I'm eligible for a flu shot too, but I may leave booking that for a week or two, to see how I react to the covid shot. Also, I want to see if it boosts my WiFi signal, as it seems to be getting a bit sketchy as my previous booster wears off!6 points

It's a two up machine made to carry a passenger...would have preferred the standard model (shorter) and a different colour but when going used you get what's available...a new unit like this with all the bells and wishels is well over 20 g ...so I have saved a good 10g ..and it's practically new..1422km.5 points

Good luck with the job hunting mate. I know how you feel though. I had a job years back where I worked my arse off, but got no thanks. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I took a customers main control unit back to the office one evening, after it couldn't be fixed in-situ because the company never gave us the necessary spare parts. I'd been on the road since 6am and I got to the office at around 8pm and stayed until 10pm to fix the unit. Bearing in mind that the office was in High Wycombe and I lived in Kent at the time. I took the repaired unit home with me and then set off the following morning at 6am to get it reinstalled at the customer's before they opened. The MD phoned me up and gave me a bollocking because the customer had complained that I'd taken the unit away. I told him exactly where he could shove his job! I got another job a week later.5 points

I think you have made the right decision life is to short to give cunts like that any power over you. There is work out there and I am sure you will find it.5 points

Just put the washing on, today I'll go the supermarket in the old E30. It's starting to get cold now, although it's clean blue skies. In the afternoon I'll pack the bike and maybe having a friend over for dinner tonight. Tomorrow I'll head south leasurely, for a few days.5 points

I worked 70/80 weeks during the pandemic people were dying in unprecedented numbers. Pointless going on about it some won’t listen or believe but we dealt with it first hand. I know what happened. It was real.4 points

I agree, sadly, but it does make the bike infinitely more practical for me. Mine was bought to used all the time so I have to be able to carry stuff. Oh and I found the fixings for the top box mount plate so that can go on again just for the full pipe and slippers vibe.4 points

No I know what you mean mate, I didn't want to as I did quite like the job but when your boss shafts you like that without a hint of thinking he's in the wrong then it's best to cut losses and seek other employment4 points

I can’t like that Rich but sometimes you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. Good luck with the job hunting now4 points

I got the job through a friends recommendation as he works there too, he didn't think he was like that but is now proper wary of him doing the same to him or his dad. He's going to lose other drivers too if he doesn't buck up his ideas but he probably never will and will keep turning over drivers like hot cakes till the end of time4 points

Study harder next time, Pete. You're either on the computer talking to your online friends or riding the motorcycle!4 points

I have been out on the bike since my last post, but I thought that this thread needed elevating up the board and also give Pete a target to aspire to! The ride down to the beach was pretty easy, with the wind behind me, but the ride back was bloody hard work, even on an ebike! 50-65kmh headwind on the way back was sapping! The wind has got a bit of a keen edge to it today too. Anyway, I may even do it again tomorrow, when the wind is forecast to gust to 80-90kmh!4 points

Well im off up to the yard this morning to have a word with my gaffa seen as he hasn't even attempted to contact me regarding my non payment of wages last week, he didn't contact me about it before he did it I just got to Friday last week and he hadn't paid me, I spoke to sammie who deals with us drivers and she knew nothing about it, on further investigation he told her its because I'd had 2 days holiday over that which I'd accrued. I've sent emails and asked sammie to get him to call me but he just refuses so today is the day I will surprise him at the yard so we can finally get something sorted out, so yeah I guess watch this space it could get interesting seeing as the last time I spoke to him over the phone he's Billy big bollocks but in person his bollocks shrink and he's all nicey nicey.4 points

It was strange for quite a while after the dog shuffled off, come home to a empty house, no dog jumping and leaping about, and he was always a excuse to go a wander around the local lanes, we had a cat after him, all that did was eat, sleep and stink the place out, never have a Tom cat.3 points

We have occasionally thought about another small dog, but after hearing what our neighbours had to fork out to the Dogs Trust to get their dog I don't think we will bother.3 points

Should work out about €80 a month more for me, so I could be getting close to €1K a month. Would be more of course if they didn't continue to do stupid shit and flatline the Pound!3 points

No more dogs for us, the last one (Cairn terrier) we had cost us a so much it vets bills, it would be just another mouth to feed.3 points

I think there was a shortage, possibly not so much of a shortage anymore. It was all his way or no way there was zero negotiation with him and I'd been more than lenient with him so his loss3 points

Thought there was a shortage of drivers, sounds like that tit might loose a few more. Good hunting.3 points

Well that went down like a lead balloon at the yard with the "boss" so I pulled up and before I even get out of the car he's effing and blinding and calling me everything under the sun, saying I'm just there to piss him off and intimidate him, I couldn't get a word in edge ways he was proper red faced with anger and slamming his fists down on anything close enough going on about high blood pressure or some other shit, when I asked him if he thought he was in the right about taking my week's wage without so much as talking to me about it first he said it was his perogative.... er no you need to talk to the person involved before you do that, then he said apparently iv caused 10k damage to the wagon since I've had it..... when asked to come up with exactly what damage he just said the bar on the top sheet was bent and couldn't say anything else. Then I tried to explain to him why I'd taken 2 Mondays off recently and he didn't want to know and he was saying that if I take anymore time off then that's me out of the door.... so I decided to take it out of his hands and I told him to fuck off and cleared my truck out. I'm having the rest of the week off and will be sorting something out at the start of next week. Word of warning don't ever do business with thinford shavings Ltd they are not a a proper business3 points
