  9. Seems a lot of our members might be a little intimidated by the magnitude of submitting their bike for Motorcycle Riders Bike Of The Month contest, it is a world renowned title after all and that responsibility weighs heavy on some. Let's hope December brings a little better conditions along with a more favorable schedule for most. Votes will be less dispersed than usual which will make for a more exciting vote. The poll is set to end at 21:00 on the 30th November, and you'll be able to change your vote until then, as well as look at who voted for whom. Here are our five entries: @Pedro's BMW R1200GS Adventure exploring dirtroads in Alentejo: @Saul's Honda CB750 Hornet, posing by Tintagel's old post office: @Six30's BMW S1000R, red and clean, he is cool and confident enough to not even look for a special location, just stop somewhere and go: @Tango's Triumph Street Scrambler 900 out amongst Autumn colours on a romantic French canyon road: @XTreme's Honda CB500X, exploring Andaluzia's aqueduct network:

  11. You went over there to kick it off and he followed you! And as usual you create trouble......but stay just the right side of the line from getting nuked! Rich isn't as well versed at trolling as you are, so he blundered in and ended up getting his collar felt. But it looked like Stu made it more than obvious that you're not welcome there. That's the price you have to pay for being an annoying cunt!

  13. The GoPro multi charger and the SD Disk arrived this morning! I've cleaned up the Helmet getting all the old adhesive off, next job is mounting the support bracket. The angle of the positioning isn't as critical with the GoPro as it was with the Drift because there's a vertical adjustment option. I'll be getting that mounted next and set up the right viewing angle. One that doesn't show my clocks! But I won't be testing it till tomorrow to allow the support bracket adhesive to really set.

  26. Funny you should say that....here's the ironic thing! Windows 10 will not run the default vid from the camera through it's default Media Player cos it needs HVEC codecs.......but I can't have them cos I need Windows 11. And my PC which is a HP Intel I3 and about 6 years old won't take Windows 11. However.....MovieMator video editor will run it to edit it, and the the edited clip will then run on Windows with no issues.

  30. I don't get the trike thing at all, each to their own but not my thing I think they are just stupid. I rode a classic 350 Enfield combination, fooking thing was terrifying, open the throttle and it pulled hard to the left, brake or close the throttle and it pulled hard to the right. Always counter steering to stay in a straight line. Didn't like it at all, I suspect the combination I rode wasn't set up very well as the chap who had it was a fiddler and fucked around with stuff. But even so it scarred me for life, never again.

  31. Same here but I think of it as all the disadvantages of a car and bike in one vehicle same as a motorcycle and sidecar but I wouldn’t mind having a go of a motorcycle and sidecar

  34. I don't really get the idea behind trikes, you get all the practicality of a car but none of the enjoyment of a bike but each to their own

  35. Not really. He likes the rallies and riding with me. He's got a Kawasaki 1400GTR and put it in part ex for a newer model. He's also got a Suzuki GSX1400 and a Trike.

  38. Woke today to another very wet foggy morning, riding out of the hotel the fog was too thick to see much of anything so I went up to the castle doors to see if there was a nice view, and indeed there was, quite the view: On the picture above, if you look to the two dots in the sky over the bike's rear luggage rack, and zoom in, you'll see two hot air balloons. Can only imagine they would have to wait for the fog to dissipate before landing, but there must have been quite the view from up there. The fog wasn't going nowhere, so I rode off heading back home. Stopped for an espresso in Estremoz, about an hour later, and enjoyed a little bit of sunshine to warm up, but as soon as I got back on the road it got cold again, beats rain though. Took a little detour through a few kms of dirt road, to see a very moody Alentejo: Bit farther on, did a wrong turn and ended up on a slightly more muddy path that turned out to be a dead end, so stopped for a another look around. The bike threw up a little mud on that trail, but most of it was cleared from a shallow water crossing, by 13:00 I was back on the road, hungry and cold so did another little detour and stopped at a very VERY old school cafe / grocery store / bar, and had a snack. There's four little dogs working there, they are always up for a snack too and they could sniff something delicious I was seduced and they ended up having some of my sandwich filling Almost back home, waiting for the green light to cross the old bridge: And that's it, the bike is filthy and looking very epic, I'm not going to wash it today, and maybe not until tuesday or wednesday, but it's dry and garaged. This wasn't the trip I was looking for, but ended up appreciating a little spot of Portugal I might return more often to, can't go wrong with riding nice dirt roads, cool views, quiet nights, and good food and wine.

  39. It was a glorious morning today so Paolo and I set off for a walk along the old Midland line that used to run from Bath to Bristol. We got on it at Staple Hill as Paolo had never walked through the tunnel before , it was a frosty start but the sunshine was great . Can you spot the pigeons ??

  40. Does anyone know an owner of one of these machines ? I have a genuine Kawasaki workshop manual for the bike, it's well tatty but all the contents are there. I don't really want to chuck it in the bin as it could be very handy for someone . Going for free ............
