Ive been doing a lot of moto camping. Sometimes Andy joins me after he finishes at work but often its just me and my trusty Honda. I have got my camping down to a fine art now and cannot wait for more adventures this coming year. I will be sorry to see the Honda go though as i know that bike inside and out i wonder what i will be getting to replace her if my claim is successful ........6 points

this is why I kept the transalp for so long ( partly) cos it cost me fuck all to insure and run and was worth fuck all if sold. further down the line and I have the house is paid for... and I have the triumph... and i,ve just got a new car... those will have to last till the twins have pretty much finished education I guess, then we'll start again if I'm still in a fit state.4 points

This forum is going down the pan almost literally . You've got the top bod posting countless photos of his bald turkey and now the TOTY the year is exalting the fact that he two turn-outs and one of them didn't touch the sides We're not going to hold onto the likes of @gymwitch and @cafebikerpro as returning and new members if we continue with this shit ...................4 points

I thought you'd have splashed out, so to speak, at Xmas? Like taking the wife on a cruise? Though in your case that would probably mean pumping up a plastic dinghy and then floating up the Severn Estuary towards Gloucester!3 points

Well the rugby game went well till 10 minutes from the end when I had a 23st bloater land on my chest with the point of his knee and it did my ribs on my right side of the chest, unsure if I've broken anything because I didn't go to hospital but I can't take a deep breath or cough without being in excruciating pain, good thing is if I have bust a rib or two I don't think I've punctured a lung as I'm not tasting blood. Hope all you're boxing days were good3 points

Hope not. Been plagued with that for 15 years or so. Eventually found a cure for it, well for me anyway. I used to sleep in the recovery position or some call it the flamingo position whilst on my side. And if i was on my back i would have one leg straight and the other bent with the knee flaring out. This puts the ligaments around the SI joint under immense strain for hours at a time. Now i sleep with my knees stacked if on my side and both legs straight if on my back and it has absolutely cured me. Even hubby does it now and never gets back ache anymore. Since my accident ive added a small memory foam cushion between my knees to keep my hip straight when on my side. Touch wood ive had no indications whatsoever of a flair up starting. Ive been pain free for around 7 years. Not one flair up since sleeping this way. It was pretty bad at times and debilitating. I could be laid out for 3 to 10 days at least 3 times a year.3 points

Sorry to hear about your accident, injuries to the pelvis are always painful, you will probably be getting SJI which is eye watering, I used to get it on and off for years after my big off and it completely immobilised me when it came on.3 points

Tomorrows TRF Christmas ride has been put off to Saturday because of the weather which is a good job because i woke up yesterday morning suffering from the flu and was totally destroyed all day, i just had a tickly throat the day before so the way i felt yesterday was a total surprise, this morning i was RAF but started feeling ok late afternoon and have a slight cough now so if the ride was still on tomorrow i wouldn't be going. Last Christmas i was i'll for the two weeks i was off work (not a flounce as @XTreme said ) and was unable to do anything but was ok when i went back to work FFS so next year i think i'm going to get the flu jab to see if it makes a difference. It's bad enough being ill in work but its a real kick in the nuts when your on holiday.2 points

We will have our Christmas meal later today, son in law is doing the cooking, so I am expecting cold veg, luke warm potatoes, mashed & roasted, turkey could be warm or hot, and gravy like warm brown water...Food poisoning anyone?2 points

This place has hit rock bottom. Marcel is in the woods with Billy Bob. Pete is sucking down “protein”. Fred is down with a compromised immune system. Zzzak is grooming kids on video games while drinking someone’s bodily fluids. Busa is… well Busa. Six is a twat. Slowly is off getting a sex change. Pedro is lost for words. Bob is on a drunken power trip. Gymwitch is back from The Shire. Saul is the U.K. favourite for Eurovision.1 point

Roses and Quality Street tins are traditional Xmas things for us. But over the years the metal tins have been changed to plastic tubs and you get a lot less chocolates in them now.1 point
