Was the name of this years TRF Christmas trail ride and someone much better than me at photoshop came up with this for the header photo The day was starting from Abergavenny, so the bike and gear went in the marmite wagon last night ready for the off at 08:00 this morning just as i was gong through the door i realised i hadn't put in my bike trousers so after a quick visit to the garage i was on my way. 51 bodies had signed up for the ride and then split into groups of between 7 to 9 members and given routes with varying levels of difficulty. The group names were Chick Chasers , Sleigh riders, Mincing Spies, Tree Fairies, Frank Incensed, Myrrh and Tinsel Troupe. I was assigned to Frank Incensed group who were one of the smaller groups at seven and a harder route of around 70 miles so that suited me fine. Some of the members at the meeting point, Kim was the only one to dress for the occasion she said it looked nothing like that when she got back lol This was our route there were a number of different routes and some groups had the same route but would ride in opposite directions to keep the numbers down. I like riding this area as the lanes can be difficult and there are not many gates to open and close The ride leader kept up a good steady pace throughout the ride and with no navigation mistakes so i only had a chance to take photos when someone was stuck or we were waiting for others to catch up , The first of the lanes summed up the rest of the ride they were slippery muddy and very wet in places The hold up ahead was someone having to have their bike picked up of them i was a bit slow getting the camera out i need a go pro LOL We had to negotiate a few fallen trees on route due to the recent weather And some twat of a farmer deliberately blocking the road, he had the bucket of the machine close to the tracks it was tight but we all got though. Things never look difficult in the photos The Frank Incensed group Waiting again, one of the guys was falling off regular and as the ride went on it was getting noticeably more frequent we found out he only got into trail riding a few months ago so was understandable and to be fair was doing well I had a walk back down the lane to see what was going on and here they come It was harder to walk back up to the bike than ride up This was the last photo i took and was the last lane the lad that was falling off done as he decided to head back to the vans as he was fucked and the next few lanes were quite difficult We missed out the last two lanes on the route as it had got dark when we got back to the vans the yellow weather warning arrived i had just finished loading when it hammered down. The bike is and gear is going to have to wait until tomorrow for a wash now The jackets not too bad But i think i'll need a shovel to clear the pavement after i wash the bike off Still waiting to hear how the other groups got off and i think there might be some videos of todays ride turning up later Got to say a great end of year ride i must get out more often next year i think5 points

Well I am on my 3rd bike this year. Started on the Himalayan, got the CB500F in January then traded up to the Hornet in early October. Been a bit of a whirlwind really but really happy where I ended up. Love the Hornet and intend to keep it for some time. I have had a shit year health wise, won't bore you with the details, but on the mend now. My family is all good, youngest has a grip on her mental health issues and is happy, middle one is happy, as always, and in College starting her last year. Oldest has a steady job now, which is something I though I never would say, and appears to be happy. The Darkness is ok and the dear boy is in rude health so all as good as I could expect really. Had an adventure with a different job that didn't work out so back out of hours with the NHS. Happy in my work so can't moan to much.5 points

Just getting back home...was nice to be alone and not have a trolley flowing me....explored a few trails ...was a little tricky in some spots...can't see where the ice is...and had to turn around and back track...when the grown beneath you is perfectly smooth well it's ice...being that so far its been kinda mild around here I didn't want to risk falling through...I did breack in but fortunately it wasn't deep...few pics from today. First pic is leaving and crossing the main highway....everything is fence in around here...moose fence. Found and old abandoned house...Pete would have loved that.5 points

You could be issued that at A & E in the short term. There is not much to be done for ribs as you say but they could help with pain relief. Don’t be a macho tit, tell them like it is. Also for fucks don’t ask for morphine because that will guarantee you won’t get it. Chances are you will get pain relief but what that is depends on the clinician. Might be worth trying a MIU as you will be seen quicker the worst they would do is send you to A & E. As for me getting it, the old bill would be on my case quick smart if CD’s went missing. As I said very tightly regulated. CD’s and Scripts are the Bain of my working life. Can’t make mistakes with those fucking things.5 points

Oh he's around you know, here and there. He's not really a people's person though so it's unlikely he'll make an appearance here5 points

No end of life involved. Quite normal to use that stuff for pain relief in certain situations. Reason I have to photograph it is so my clinician has the batch number and exp dates for his notes. Plus I have to witness their issue. Controlled Drugs are very tightly monitored and tracked. Shipman’s legacy or so it is said.4 points

Minor Injuries Unit. They deal with breaks strains cuts and stuff very often much quieter that A&E and there are many more of them. Normally running their clinics between 8am and 8pm. Google for your nearest, failing that ring 111 and they will book you an appointment and tell you the best place to go.3 points

It's isolated......but people post about it on FB etc and what is a relatively small number of affected machines suddenly seems like a big issue. Cos you never hear from the hundreds of thousands of owners who've had no issues.2 points

It doesn't happen to all of them.......I think mine would have gone by now if it had a bad pump.2 points

Cam you come give me some of that shit for my ribs mate, im in agony with them in 3 different places around the same rib. Just to right of my sternum, directly opposite position on my back and on my side. Not been to a&e to get it checked because they can't do fuck all for ribs so just taking ibuprofen when I remember to take it but it definitely doesn't seem to be touching the pain2 points
