Another great trip down south to see the whales. This time with east coast friends. US sightseeing, first $1.00 street tacos in Tecate Morning in San Felipe. Slumming it in Bahia de Los Angeles Motorcycles are the universal language! Early morning ride to the lagoon in San Ignacio, maternity ward for the Pacific grey whales. Very well regulated tours to meet the whales. Only 15 boats in the lagoon at one time. Limited time on any whale, should they come say 'hi' to you. Must not have had their morning coffee, as the whales were a little standoffish this trip. We werent able to pet any of em. This past week, other friends to the lagoon had them flipping over to have their bellies rubbed. Native cave paintings near Catavina. Cave in previous picture is under the rock behind that sign. Old Mill Motel in San Quintin. We lucked out as the restaurant owner was coming in on his day off to cook for another large group. The pasta and two lobster tails - $25 US!3 points

Just been out and had a 100 mile bimble, been up to Damerells for a bacon roll and to look at the bikes then over to the North Coast and up to North Cornwall Motorcycles at Bude. Them home. Great to be out on the Hornet I think I have found the perfect bike for me, light and easy to maneuver around but enough power to not get bored. I am surprised how quiet it is around 70 to 80 mph as a naked bike, push past 90 mph and you know all about it but that's not where I want ride. No real buffeting and still quiet enough to hear my sounds in the helmet, and no vibs at all. Yes I can feel the wind on my chest but no turbulence. Obviously having a decent helmet helps as well. Must be something to do with the bodywork on it as I have been on other nakeds and it's like the end of the world at those sorts of speeds. I laughed at my mate on his Bonnie as we had to slow down as he was losing his vision through vibration at 70 plus. Lovely looking old bike but no competition to something more modern no matter what he argues.1 point
