  1. Took a bimble down to Marazion this morning to get a picture of my bike with St Michael’s Mount in the back ground. Saw some Pilot Gigs out in Mounts Bay. I used to row in Fowey’s gig when I was a little younger. Shame the light was coming from behind the Mount. I will pop down there again as it’s a lovely ride. Pleased with my new Schuberth M1 Pro lid, light and comfy with great vision. Bit noisier than my C3 but fine with my Eggz plugs in. Comfy up to 80 but not much more. I love Marazion it’s a stunning little town. Not like Penzance at all which is for the most part rough as rats.

  4. Update Her son spoke with the doctor today :--- MRI shows that the spine is not compressed which is positive. Spinal injury seems positive as in there is not any big concerns over ability to function her limbs etc. She is more active today in terms of moving her legs a bit and arms a bit. Still uncertain in terms of brain injury which is the waiting game. They are planning to move her to the Poly trauma unit tomorrow if there is bed space. It basically means she is stable enough and can be discharged from critical care. She is also tolerating less oxygen support whiich is good! She has opened her eyes slightly a couple of times too. Hopefully these are good signs.

  5. I was out by 11am and it was a roundtrip of 200kms......mostly motorway unfortunately! The destination was the old Railway Workshops in Guadix which have been closed for many years and are now in a pretty bad state! It's claim to fame is that it's been featured in two films.....North West Frontier in 1959, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. The vid is a bit different this time......no soundtrack as it's all low speed onboard footage so a lot less wind noise! Now this is why a Top Box is essential here because of the temperature variations that can occur during the day! When I left the house it was 14C but in Guadix it was 26C......so I'd be carrying all this shit around with me if I didn't have the Box. Inside the main workshops...... Snow on the Sierra Nevada mountains in the background! Apparently there's a locomotive within this shed...... It was the first time I'd been out in a month, so the bike got a good run. As usual, it never missed a beat.......though it did get covered in dust getting access to this place. Which meant a visit to the Jet Wash......the first one since last November! So that was my day......best run I've had for some time. And I can now walk around when I stop......without getting a load from grief from my Hernia! Did I mention that I had a Hernia?

  6. I'm up at 4.15am.... this weekend seems to have gone in a fucking flash, at least this week I'm only doing 4 days, I've got 2 days holiday to use before start of April and with my parents visiting us for a long weekend I thought I may as well have a long weekend too. That and it gives me more time to sort out the audi issues and maybe even get them sorted.

  10. Interesting bike from Voge, think it 's a bit expensive given its a Chinese bike. Looks good though, wouldn't spend my cash on it but each to their own. And yes Shad Man I know she is not Neevesy, so don't get offended just don't watch it.

  21. It will be getting sorted under the warranty either the 30 day dealer or 3 months engine, gearbox and electrical warranty, or it could be the recall outstanding thats on the vehicle, either way I won't be paying a penny for it to be sorted

  27. Currently in Copenhagen and it’s lovely. No litter, cheap public transport ( that actually works), park your bike and it’s still there when you go back to it, great bars, no obnoxious twats, no pot holes … it’s lovely, tho a bit cold.

  29. December 31st 1984 when the line was closed! That was one of the terminus's! Then it went onto Gorafe, Gor, Baul, Zujar-Freila, Baza, Caniles, El Hijate, Seron, Tijola, and Fines-Olula.....all of which I've done.

  30. Yeah I have been there several times with the kids. They normally have an open weekend just before Easter weekend where they let locals in for free. You just have to have proof of your postcode. Lovely little town Marazion. My father In law restored the St Aubyn family's funeral/ceremonial barge dated from 1720. Looks like a big fat Pilot Gig and supposedly the oldest small boat in the UK still in use, 28 foot I think. Twas an honour for him to be asked back in the day, late 90's. Lord St Leven was a lovely guy. Doubt he is still around now he was pretty old at the time. Not overly choppy for Mounts Bay, always a lump on down there. When I was rowing in the gigs if it was rough North coast teams did well if it was calm South Coast gigs did well. All to do with what we rowed in most of the time. Tis fun in a gig when its choppy though. I miss it. Rugby in the winter rowing in the summer, before the kids came along of course.

  34. Nice car and all...I have no idea what shops are like in your area..sounds like and expensive car to do any kind of maintenance on it long-term...the tires alone your looking at big bucks just to replace...not ditching on your buy...are you sure that's what you really need ?
