Well the sun is out here for a change so I decided to take my bike out for a mooch around Damerells motorcycles. My youngest is 17 in a few months and desperately wants a bike so I went up to do a bit of research about CBT’s and 125cc bikes. Just seeing the lie of the land so to speak. The practical choice for her would be a Honda CB125F, still affordable and not some chinky that will dissolve before her eyes. Back along when my boy got his ped I asked the salesman why there aren’t many second hand ones out there and his answer was that most if the Chinese brands don’t last long enough to go to a second owner. Anyway this is what I am looking at for her, has to be red too according to her. I‘ve told her she has to be working before I buy it and that she will have to pay me back. Sound harsh I know but she and my other two have to live in the real world and understand the cost and value of stuff. Chores done I got chance to looked at the shiny stuff. Nice looking Harley in the sold line I must admit I liked this one. Know nothing about them at all but I do like the look of it Hornet 500 and 750 side by side, I’m not sure why but the 750 appeared smaller in the flesh , probably to do with the angle of lean on the side stand I do like the look of these NT1100’s it sure I would have a use for one but cool work horse. Now this is gonna trigger Shad Man but I do like the look of the new RE Bullit and Shot Gun. Not sure I would spend my money on one but I love the look of them I like this too, big brute of a bike 2017 CB500x with 100 miles on the clock, there is a story behind that I have revised my opinion of these, I thought they were a bit bulbous originally but with this paint scheme I think it’s cool as hell. Now this I would buy if I hand money to burn. They had 5 x CB650R’s in the showroom Didn’t like the look of the exhaust pipe on this CB125R Several people at Damerells today My favourite bike of the day.6 points

I would love to get away with buying her a tidy CG but she wants a cool bike (like mine, her words) I have not been able to convince her a CG looks like a Hornet. I would like her to have an XR125 or similar but she won’t have it I have also had chapter and verse about the cool riding gear and look she is going for. Nearly no bike at all after earlier. Had a blazing row with her today, it’s that time of the month when some women go absolutely mental, add ADHD and teenage angst into 5’1” package and you can form a picture. She is the youngest and the Apple of my eye but I could have happily throttled her today. All good now but I am too old for hormonal teenagers . We are both too alike with low flash points, makes for some epic fall outs.3 points

Look after your rear suspension on the dominator there's practically nothing available for them collar wise now that includes the one that holds the swingarm on3 points

Just thinking about it, twas a joy to go out today in my Leather, jeans and open face, just so much lighter and less restrictive than normal gear. Also on the plus side the increased vision from an open face . Much prefer it when the weather allows.3 points

Spooky you mention that. Both dominator seals and one on the TDM have just had the cleaning tool run around, cleaned and reassembled, will see how they go before replacing.2 points

Top Man Whats your thoughts on a YSS shock i know you've had one on something or other thinking of getting one for the dog2 points

I didn't bother Fred , on inspection the rubber dust seals have deteriorated so i'd rather replace the lot (oil seals, dust seals and bushes) so that I know it's all ok.2 points

Never measured it, at a guess the back garden is around 30ft Square, front garden is about 15ft square, I do gardening to pass some time, but i don't really enjoy the passtime, but it gets me out of this armchair, as there is little else to do. But I do not need much encouragement to not do any gardening.2 points

After a week of very rainy weather, today it was sunny and very nice. Riding over to @Sofia’s for a few days there I got a call from a client who proceeded to complain and complain and complain, and my helmet’s communication system has had better days so had to stop to give him some attention. Here is where I stopped. No ride report as there’s been plenty of them on these roads and views.2 points

I'm hoping someone will start making them their easy enough to do if you have the equipment though. The bolts are unavailable as well i checked a few other bikes but they all have 10mm bolts and not 12mm like the dominator1 point

Those cb125fs are reasonably trouble free but made in India. Like to think they've got the probs they had with the earlier bikes sorted now but the cg125 was a better bike at the time. She'll love it. I shouldn't be surprised at what they're going for now but I am.1 point
