It's called a spanner over here Scott, which is kind of ironic as Pete is a bit of a spanner9 points

Pete wouldn't have this kind of dilemma if he would just take the time to school himself on how a Wrench works!5 points

He won't because he doesn't like people. He even broke Dell's leg when he went there just to get rid of him ................5 points

By page 10, this thread’s title is clearly misleading A Honda CB500X would suit you well, Pete! Maybe a green one next?5 points

Went to the first Britannia bike night earlier. About 20 bikes turned up over the course of a couple of hours. Some interesting characters to including a hump back and a cos play 1950’s greaser with his Thai bride. Also a profoundly deaf Lezzer, or that’s how she introduced herself Friendly enough bunch not sure it’s for me but will give it a chance and go again3 points

I don't really fancy tubed tires, but the only real options are either going a bigger and getting a Transalp or a 650 V Strom (with tubeless), or smaller and getting a CR300, or keep the current goldilocks option and stick with not too big nor too small CB500X.3 points

Was sitting in the bedroom yesterday and a sharp gust of wind and rain had a lump out of my chimney stack. Said lump rolled down then onto the conservatory roof and the floor.3 points

Try getting one for less now that's what they fetch. I think it's a case of not getting your hero bikes from back in the day as modern stuff is so much better in every way. Lots of old school bikes I really like but doubt I would want to live with one as my only rider. CT125 would be a lot of fun in the right environment but imagine you would want more power before to long. Problem with that sort of bike especially on the roads that you show us is that your would be forever highlighting the fact that it would be dog slow. Tell us what you actually want from a bike to narrow the field a little. All I know is not RE, Chinky or BMW. I think Ray is right get a naked bike and back to just having fun.3 points
