My day yesterday started at 1am with my daughter on the phone panicking as her car had broken down, when i got there she was on a steep hill with her foot on the brake stopping it from rolling into the parked car behind her she said it was rolling back with he handbrake on, it was just raising the suspension when she released the brake so it wasn't rolling back she was stressing over nothing. I got in and the gear lever is doing nothing but it was stuck in gear and i was able to pull it away from the parked car with a bit of burning clutch and park it out the way, it was gone 2am after i sorted that out, i couldn't get back to sleep until an hour before i was due to get up to go out on the bike. Met Gary the sun was shining and it was a comfortable temperature. We had a good day riding some tough lanes until around 3pm when the heavens opened at the furthest point from home i got soaked in minutes got home around 19:30 aching like hell and the knee supports i wore for the fist time rubbed the backs of my knees raw so they wont be used again, it did dry up on the way home where i took the only photo of the day. After a shower and some grub I went out and brought the daughters car home. Had a look at the daughters car this morning and one of the gear selector cables is broken so its a job for the garage, i am now going to spend the rest of the day recovering from yesterday7 points

Things are hotting up, got the pencil coils out, they were quite easy if you lift them right, so now the plugs are exposed, got my new thinwall plug socket out and no, its a 3/8" and I have a 1/4 and a 1/2, not to worry, a friend is coming tomorrow morning with a 3/8 socket set, so to fill in the time I painted the radiator after reverse flushing it.5 points

Good morning to everyone!!!!! Every year a large group of motorcyclists welcomes the Holy Light from Kavala airport at Greece and accompanies it to the central church of Chrysoupolis city Kavala. This year, 2024, the airport management did not allow entry of motorcycles to avoid any negative events, the block in the node can also be seen in the video, although unpleasant events have never been in the past. This year, the established Holy Ride had a symbolic character. Here's the video: (wear earplugs)!3 points

I forgot to say i had to perform a mercy killing when out yesterday and i feel the need to tell you all to get it off my chest. I was riding along and saw a what i thought was a lump of mud on the road but as i got on top of it it turned out to be a baby rabbit. The front wheel passed it but the stupid thing went to run instead of staying still and went under the back wheel i didn't feel a thing but i suspect it was different for the poor rabbit, i went back to check on it and it was still alive but obviously not going to survive so i couldn't just leave it and had to finish it off, quite sad really if someone prepared and cooked it for me i would quite happily eat it but found myself shutting my eyes and wincing as i ran over it a few more times to finish it off.2 points

Morning arrived with rain, and plenty of it And under that weather we first tried some small country roads in the mountains, to then escape that with a beeline to the hotel for that evening. Arriving earlier than planned, we took a look at the local porcelain factory and museum. Took this picture just for you lot That evening we stayed in a lovely hotel, and caught an uber to go out for a typical great meal. All was well, in the morning we left with a promise of improving weather, but somehow that turned the other way and got worse. I, in a flash of optimism caused by some brief visions of blue skies turned up a mountain and that turned out to be a big mistake. Up there the promise of blue skies quickly turned into dark low clouds, and after a few minutes, snow fall. I didn't stop for pictures, the snow was falling quite heavily and the roads were suddenly with 4 to 5 cm of it, I was worried that by stopping it would quickly get to unrideable conditions, plus the mood wasn't for stopping and enjoying the views. Slowly, but as quickly as possible, we went down the mountain and out of the snow, to dive into a restaurant and warm up with hot soup and a great grilled steak. Properly warmed up, again we pointed the bikes towards a warm shower, made it to Porto in little more than an hour, that night we ate some tapas and listened to a little Fado. Next morning arrived, and we were heading up the Douro river. As we got ready to get out of the underground parking garage, we could hear the rain starting to pour outside A few moments, later, stopped in a very wet Porto while people were putting on their rain overalls. Two or three hours later of riding under lots of rain, we reached the high Douro and stopped to enjoy a deserved break in the weather. Clouds were moving very quickly, so whatever sunshine we had was brief. We rode the other 30 to 45 minutes up to our stay for the night, in a farmhouse, and braved the last kms of farm service roads. Great views on the roads to get there and upon destination. Over a nice meal watered with the farm's own wine, we ended our tour. The following day we faced some more moody skies on the way back home.2 points
