Took a spin this morning to the Grand Ronde river while I was waiting for my front lawn to dry out from last night's dew...before I mowed it....which tore up my screwed up feet. Stopped along the way for a few qwik pics....1st @ the train station....then onto a nice wide spot directly east from place. Arrived @ the RV park to find the river looking pretty damn full....typical spring run-off. Just a couple more to make the Spanner-Phobic cringe @ the thought of that much wetness so close to his bike...

Reminds me of the time I got a puncture as I rode into Los Angeles after 2400 miles in three days. Nursed it down to the dealers and at first they wanted to book it in, I pointed out I had ridden in from Georgia and would only be there for a couple of days, they promptly dropped everything and did it immediately. There was a guy from Canada waiting who had trailered his bike down who started complaining. The workshop guy told him to shut the fuck up and said real riders got priority.

I left around 1030am ..basically a 130 km highway run to get the place I wanted to check out...temp was still on the chilly side ..took a little breack on the side of the highway to warm up a little...should get the hand warmers fitted in...there was a lac near by..

Well that's about it ...stop in town when I got back...to see the Harley gang...hanging out at the donut shop....the ride was about 350 km...and a final picture of yours truly...so you'll know it was me riding the bike..

That about it...stop at a restaurant for lunch when I imergerd from the woods...didn't see any wild life... Found a picture for Buckster of a cod fish the udders...you can clearly see them hanging underneath...

My chain is a mess...

I ran inland for about 50 km or so before turning around...you can actually run across the Gaspe penusila and come out on the st Laurence sea way...on these dirt roads...we are still limited by the temp still..around 6 pm the temp takes a nose dive still...few pictures from that forestry road..used to haul lumber..

After fueling ...another 40 km to reach the road ...pristine clear water..lots of curves...not a place for are local race rider to be on...

Battery is here and on charge. Weighs about a quarter of the one I have taken out. The old one is looking a bit bulgy on the sides.

Nice weather ☀..nice area.....nice places to ride 🏍 what more can you ask for!....enjoy the ride.

This is the box the pilot jet for the XR turned up in yesterday i don't mind but it arrived Thursday but nobody was in to take the delivery so was redelivered yesterday if it was in a padded envelope it would have gone through the letter box. The box was a perfect size for the 24mx stickers that came with it though

I headed up Betws then past Ammanford towards Carreg Cennen Castle, couldn't get where I wanted to for the castle so set up by that old fallen tree Bob

It's used as just a tour train now....w/ limited trips up to the Minam river area about 15 miles away.

Been to the hardware shop to get some metal fencing for the top of the Pagoda......protection for the tortoises against vultures. Then when of those surreal moments happened when their radio switched from endless wailing Spanish music to Black Sabbath "Paranoid".

My bike is a 2008 and this will be its third battery so it is averaging 1 battery every 8 years, now remind me how long that battery has been in the Affy?

MAG is distancing themselves from FEMA over electrification. For good reason as well as all FEMA do is wax lyrically about how everyone should accept electric motorcycles, with current battery technology, electric motorcycles are basically commuters, it will kill motorcycling. See here.

That’s the new battery on, it has some serious cranking power. I have the NOCO charger on my old battery now to see it it can recover it, although I doubt it.

Was going to the garage to put some petrol in the scoot, got my summer glove out for the 1st time this year, pulled them on and they have almost disintegrated

To be honest i'm surprised it's lasted this long, i'll probably put a new one on this year as a precaution because the bike is always in a heated garage it can give you a sense of false security. it happened with my CB everything was fine until i had one cold night camping and the battery was dead in the morning.

I'll try a different bait next time
