  1. First ride out on the Vespa today, I stuck to a tour around Bristol as I have no idea how this thing is screwed together. So what did I find ? the steering head bearings are loose, the front brake either needs adjusting or new shoes. Apart from that it rides quite well , the jetting might be slightly out and there were some pops and bangs sometimes but it ticks over nicely . Anyway , some photos for delectation ....................

  2. I did manage to get a traffic fine of €100 and 3 points off my licence for wearing earplugs! The copper though I was listening to music and wrote me a ticket despite me showing him they were just earplugs that were EC marked. Needless to say I’m going to appeal against the fine and I’ve got four witnesses. Anyway, it didn’t spoil the trip……..

  7. Yesterdays visit would have cost us £25.00 each. The day before would have been £6 each for here and £10.40 each for here. They're all English Heritage which we have joint membership. Already gone over our membership fee as we joined at Osbourne house on the Isle of Wight.

You always called me "mad" and recently it was confirmed in a diagnosis LOL, yes Pete, it's official. I'll think of you whenever I ride my scoot (that's almost daily now) and feel the wind on my vagina :), (that's an in joke, "men buy scooters so they can feel the wind on their vaginas") Can we get together and have a "wake" in Wales for Pete ya reckon?

  30. We have a castle near to us, I have never been to it, on the gate it is £19 pp entrance fee, also i have never visited Hardwick Hall, which is even closer. Last house I visited was Gunby Hall near Skeggy, not a bad entrance fee, but very lacking inside, just 3 downstairs room to look through, upstairs is out of bounds to visitors.

  32. All of Portugal will reach 30ºC tomorrow, with a lot of the inland regions getting to 40ºC. However, and I have just heard this on the news broadcast at dinner time, temperatures will drop during the night so that will provide some relief from the heat. Temperatures will be lower at night than during the day!!!

  33. I disagree, they all have their different quirks. This is Tyntesfield near Bristol , it was still privately owned until last century. Built in the gothic mansion style similar to one you've shown above.
