Had my first attempt at cleaning the CBF600, still plenty to do but it is looking passable from a few feet. Just going for tidy as it has done 30k so has a few battle scars and I am not concerned with that but there is some dirty shit that has to go. EG the glue from old wheel balancing weights and such. I spent yesterday cleaning up the panniers and getting the old stickers off. Of course there is no show without punch as Shadow wanted her bike in the photos so she can show her mates what she is supposedly getting. Notice the red hair to match, not obsessed much Anyway she’s wasn’t on receive when I told her about tests and such. Be some time yet.

Just secondhand bike maintenance once its done you will never have to do them again except the pads of course the ones on the van that is

Smart motorways are probably the main reason I rarely ride on motorways on a bike .

Thought id start one in the words of Pete (i just copied and pasted them ) It's not too bad here...... …..but I've got a busy couple of days fitting a fence. dont think i'll get out on any of the bikes this weekend. I don't suppose anybody's doing anything of interest though? I know it's unlikely to be riding your bike.......but any old shit you can add to keep the board moving is OK. Yes......we're that desperate!

Just watching a program on smart motorways .... got to be the most dangerous and stupidest idea ever, if you break down 60% chance you will get picked up on cameras and radar to put a red cross on gantry and then hope lorries etc move out the lane... 40% chance your going to get seriously injured or killed

We have our son and his partner visiting us tomorrow, most likely they will ask for money. We hope to go to sis in laws (Mrs. Bucket ) on Sunday, i hope my back will stand the 40 mile round trip, the seats in the Dacia are rubbish.

On behalf of Pete, I’m just going to say that POS is going to end up pissing oil eventually.

Getting out on Sunday on ‘a’ bike but not ‘my’ bike……….a mate of mine has an elderly Kawasaki VN800 that he just isn’t riding so he asked me to take it out for the day! I’m going to head out with a couple of other mates on their custom bikes so it will not be fast but hey, it’s fecking roasting here now so I’m happy to put on a denim waistcoat and bimble about. I’ve ridden it a few times over the years and it’s quite nice to ride as far as custom style bikes are concerned. However, I look as gay-as-fuck on it.

I remember them putting signs up on the A470 near me and for the first couple of months the sign read and i quote "sign not in use" FFS

My Mrs test drove a Sandero a couple of years ago and she did comment that the seats weren't very good. In fact the Duster wasn't much better. She decided to stick with her old BMW, which to be fair has been fauless for the last 3 years. Won't mention what happened before that .

I have never been on one as a driver or rider but I don't like the sound of it.

Quietish weekend for me, working tonight up at Launceston Hospital. Nothing much on Saturday, maybe some more obsessive new bike messing/cleaning. Sunday working overnight but have to go to our Truro base to cover, I fucking hate it down there, nest of fucking vipers. At least I will get my first couple of commutes on the CBF600.

Dragged all my tools out to fix the fist fence post to work from tomorrow and just as i started the heavens opened FFS, anyway its done now so good to go for tomorrow weather permitting of course

I've been in the garage today , put a new spark plug in the WR. Oil change as well and made a seal scraper to clean out one of the fork seals. Dog walking tomorrow then beer and footy again.

Already on it. Sounds great but a bit wearing after a while. March ‘23 with 3300 miles on it.

Just been out cleaning up my CB600 ready to use,, luckily it started to rain just as I finished. I wanted to take some photos but will wait for it to dry up, maybe some time looking at the forecast.

That's the truth! But it made beers by the pool so much better...

My Dacia is 2013 year. The seats have very little lateral support, and the seat base is the worst part. No support for my legs, all my weight is taken up on my ass, which does my back no favours, even when it is not playing me up...

Out for a few hours this morning ,good through the lanes and enough grunt on A roads... apart from the steering started to feeling notchy ... its a fucking blast , sounds the nuts... pooping and farting off the throttle , im liking it ... no bar end mirrors broke or damaged either, i could make a living out of reviewing bikes , the words just come natural for me .

You best get paining some wheels pronto, that's going to set you back a few bob.
