Been out for a bimble with my Shadow again today. I have driven through Tavistock many times but haven’t looked around the Town since I was a kid. Anyway that was our destination for today. Beautiful old and thriving town. Unlike most of our Cornish towns. Can’t claim to know why. Of course Chloe managed to walk into nearly every photo. Lovely but totally unpractical Harley. Next to a very practical but ugly BMW.5 points

It was a really cool place mate, probably double the size you can see in the pic. I was talking to Chloe about taking my Mrs up there and her response was; "That will cost you".4 points

All go for me today 85 miles to Tavy and back today, then 40 mile round trip to Damerells bike night tonight. Twas my mate Martyn’s 63 birthday so would have been a bit churlish to say no when he messaged me to go. My Shadow was off horse riding so I got to go out on my own. Some interesting bikes there Two biker groups turned up and stared at each other from either end of the car park, lots of shiny Harleys and Indians but not much that took my interest.3 points

Received the Harley jacket that I sent him...he said the sleeves are two short...the size of the jacket was large American size...just for reference that's like double x large in your UK sizes....I think we might be dealing with someone closely related to the ape family...2 points

I did something similar, before go pro was a thing I think. Got this keyring cameras off eBay from China, and taped one to the beak of my helmet, then rode around the "track" I used to race around pretending to be in Baja. I got a nice few minutes of the ground moving Still, I see no pictures of your KTM in the least challenging terrain ... I think you might be a poser.2 points

What are you talking about, adventure bike? You rode it to Florida, land of straight roads and blue haired old ladies driving cadillacs. Show it on some challenging terrain, until then you’re riding a scooter!2 points

I don’t know what to think, i messaged before my trip to the UK last year, but got not reply. Then since then he hasn’t been in touch. @yen_powell, mate, I get you don’t want to pay for a tea or meet up, but I’m long gone by now, you can come out of hiding!2 points

So with the forks back in it was time to see if I could remove anything to shave some weight. First to go was the luggage support rails , I can always fit these back on if I need them later. I dug out the original tank for this bike but it had the locking cap fitted and I never got the keys with the bike. I tried a few tips to remove it but in the end it needed drilling out ........... Then I needed to flush the tank as it had 9 year old fuel in it and now a load of swarf .............. I left the tank to dry out for a couple of days and ordered a new cap , once it arrived I fitted it to the tank. The Suzuki comes with a Mikuni BST carb and a fuel tap that has a vacuum line so I had to block that to get fuel to run from the tank to the carb Johnny Jiggler was employed to run the fuel from the oversize Acerbis tank to the Suzuki item .............. Next I fitted the original side panels in place of the sacrificial panels I'd been using, now it was time for a short run to check everything ................ By time I got the end of the lane the fork seals were leaking which didn't really surprise me, so they came back out and I fitted the Cogent forks by moved them up through the top yoke by 50mm. I will strip the other forks in time now and see what needs repalcing . Today I rode it into work and was well chuffed to find out that it handled fine. I'm chuffed as I really like this bike , it gives good performance for a single and is one of the best carburatting bikes I've ridden .2 points
