My youngest was completely bent out of shape today because I gave her sister a driving lesson. So I took the green eyed monster out for a ride to placate her. Plus it was an excuse to go for an ice cream. I rode out to Fowey across to join the A390 then Down to Lostwithiel then on through West Taphouse then took the Looe turning just before Middle Taphouse. The followed 10 miles of quick B roads to Plynt, bloody glorious. From Plynt on to Polperro Cross and down into Looe. Free parking for bikes was packed but we squeezed in. We walked on down through the fish quays to the Lifeboat House and stopped for my Shadow to eat her ice cream. Lots of lobster people around. Walking back through Looe Main Street Shadow made some new friends We came back via the A30 the A389. Had a minor tussle with Fire Blade but that was only going one way much to Shadows disgust. Twas a good couple of hours though and cracked the first 1000 miles on the CBF.5 points

Had a great day on the bike today. A little warm in the afternoon but that just meant I didn't see any other bikes on the road, which I'm quite happy with. Didn't stop many times, but did take some pictures when I did. Everything is hot now, just had a shower and my washing gel was hotter than the water Now cooling and relaxing, then a walk in 20 minutes to go have a proper piece of grilled meat for dinner, probably too much to drink and then maybe I'll post a ride report for today. If I don't then it's because I really had too much to drink. More coming tomorrow. I love my bike.4 points

I survived lesson one. Got her pulling away and changing into second gear. Some steering, clutch and brake control. Lots to learn but kept her laughing rather the stressed and anxious. Nothing like a deserted WW2 airfield for plenty of space to learn. Google Davidstow Airfield if you are interested. Hopefully I will get her sound on basic car control before she starts formal lessons. Good to be in her company for a couple of hours. Bodmin Moor off in the distance Somebody else up there teaching his boy to ride. I may take Chloe up there in the future, shame it’s 26 miles from home.4 points

Fine thanks I just had nothing to add to the forum, it has been a period (still got this bad back) of doing very little, so had nothing to say.4 points

More specific eh?, OK You're a knob gobbling spunk guzzler who's frightened Scotland will become straight if a heterosexual male visits there. How many Tarberts are there in a peninsular shaped like a penis with its nutsack cut off?3 points

Well cracked my first 1000 miles on the CBF today. Been pretty Honda really just been on the button when ever I have needed it. Have put a set of tyres on it and changed the oil but apart from farkles and fuel haven’t needed to spend anything. I really like it happy to bimble around but is plenty quick enough when the revs are up. Mind you got completely spanked by a fire blade on Liskeard by pass today. No surprise there and backed off before it got silly.3 points

I always liked them from the day I first saw them , they remind me of an XT500 on steroids. The fact that I work in a Ducati specialist is a big plus as I don't have to worry about servicing etc, but it does have one of the best Ducati engines ever in it .3 points

Lowrider, for short people like @Marcel le Moose Fondler, unless his sister beats him up and takes it off him.3 points

Started the day with a 5k walk as the sun came up. Then had to take my fuck nut of a son to Bodmin scooter centre to get a new back tyre. I liked the guys who work there. I would go there to have work done, reasonable price and seemed pretty knowledgeable. Daft boy is now talking about getting a bike as apparently riding a ped is embarrassing . Obviously his mates are taking the piss. I did tell him at the time but what the fuck do I know.3 points

Or even brembo directly? There are a few Italian online shops with nice prices on brembro things, but I guess it might be a nightmare to post it to the UK.2 points

Maybe you can get the same part number used for a Ducati, cheaper? Aprilia makes nice bikes, some with nice engines, but parts always seem to be a problem when the model goes out of production.2 points

Got a call to look at a sl1000 Falco. Bike had Fallen onto its left hand side and lost the clutch. New master cylinder required. How expensive is this Italian shite.2 points

I really like that bike Bob. Out of interest if you didn't have any connections with Ducati would you have bought that bike. Its because its a Ducati I've never given it a second glance but do like it.2 points
