Managed to bag a Ride in a Cessna 150 with a friend who's a flight instructor in La Grande.... we flew over the north end of the Grand Ronde valley where Elgin is located... We flew over an area known as Palmer Junction....amazing how different the perspective is from 3k+ ft. up.... I swear....the next best thing to riding on the ground!5 points

I wanted to head off early to go to Jollys Bike Shop in Bovey Tracey this morning. But of course life is never that easy. By the time I walked the dog took number one daughter to the stables and got Shadow out of her pit we didn’t get away until 11:00. Nothing much on the way out over to Bodmin to pick up the A30 to Sourton. Cruised at 80 mph most of the way apart from a couple of jams for breakdowns, but we filtered and never actually had to stop. I am surprised how accommodating all the drivers were making room for us to filter through. Unexpected. Anyway once we got to Sourton it was time for fuel. Of course by the time I had paid she had taken residence moaning how much more comfortable my seat was. Anyway with a full tank and 25 miles to go I used Google maps for voice directions through my headset. Now let me tell you now Google was not on form today, what should have been 25 miles turned into 30 with a couple of farm tracks with foot high grass in the middle thrown in. In fact at one point it looked really dodgy. Anyway eventually we made it to Jolly’s. We had lunch there and it was lovely and actually pretty reasonable. £12 to feed both of us. I think Jolly’s main business is as a prop shop, but they have a stunning collection of bikes to. Even got a Gandalf. And a spooky ghost encounter which freaked Shadow out Much darker than the photo and she actually wanted to hold my hand, first time in years Some bikes Stunning custom’s, real quality workmanship if a bit gay according to Shadow Yet more Harleys. A Honda After we did Jolly’s which we both really liked, I headed over Dartmoor which was absolutely stunning. Never fails to impress. Next stop was Princeton with its Prison. Still a stunning town despite the HMP. Big centre for walkers , some good pubs. Been there singing a few times. After Princeton on to Tavistock, Gunnislake, Callington, Liskeard, Lostwithiel and home. Trip stats, 6.5 hours and 145 miles We did stop on Dartmoor for an ice cream and I did laugh at Shadow. She went up to order her ice cream and lost the ability to speak to the rather handsome young man serving. I had to step in as she went to pieces Of course she denied it when I told her mother when we got home.3 points

It was mate, nice welcoming people and reasonable prices. It was free to get in as well, which was a bonus. The place had a real good feel, but I sort of knew it would as I follow what goes on there through their FB group. Wish there was something like it closer to home.2 points

I had the dog MOT'd this morning think i'm going to have to find a new place to get it done he put an advisory on it because the number plate lights were not working cheeky fucker From there i headed over the Rhigos mountain to look at one of the lanes in Merthyr, someone reported it has been washed out so wanted to see what could be done to repair it. It wasn't looking any different to the last time i was here but was definitely going to disappear this winter. Then i got thinking how heavy is that slab of concrete and picked up a lump of wood to lever it and it moved, so i cut me a longer branch with my trusty saw and set to work on it I levered it around to a better position then started levering it up a bit at a time At this stage the work was getting a bit hard but i'm a stubborn fucker and refused to be defeated With a bit more poking, prying and sweating it was up and over That was a job i wasn't planning on doing today i just got caught up in the challenge got to have been over 500KG, I will have to return to backfill it i was too fucked to do any more plus i need a shovel.1 point

You have good taste, it's a great bike to ride, if I bought one and I would if I had the space I would need forwards on it but otherwise it is bang on.1 point

My youngest was completely bent out of shape today because I gave her sister a driving lesson. So I took the green eyed monster out for a ride to placate her. Plus it was an excuse to go for an ice cream. I rode out to Fowey across to join the A390 then Down to Lostwithiel then on through West Taphouse then took the Looe turning just before Middle Taphouse. The followed 10 miles of quick B roads to Plynt, bloody glorious. From Plynt on to Polperro Cross and down into Looe. Free parking for bikes was packed but we squeezed in. We walked on down through the fish quays to the Lifeboat House and stopped for my Shadow to eat her ice cream. Lots of lobster people around. Walking back through Looe Main Street Shadow made some new friends We came back via the A30 the A389. Had a minor tussle with Fire Blade but that was only going one way much to Shadows disgust. Twas a good couple of hours though and cracked the first 1000 miles on the CBF.1 point

Had a great day on the bike today. A little warm in the afternoon but that just meant I didn't see any other bikes on the road, which I'm quite happy with. Didn't stop many times, but did take some pictures when I did. Everything is hot now, just had a shower and my washing gel was hotter than the water Now cooling and relaxing, then a walk in 20 minutes to go have a proper piece of grilled meat for dinner, probably too much to drink and then maybe I'll post a ride report for today. If I don't then it's because I really had too much to drink. More coming tomorrow. I love my bike.1 point

More specific eh?, OK You're a knob gobbling spunk guzzler who's frightened Scotland will become straight if a heterosexual male visits there. How many Tarberts are there in a peninsular shaped like a penis with its nutsack cut off?1 point

Well cracked my first 1000 miles on the CBF today. Been pretty Honda really just been on the button when ever I have needed it. Have put a set of tyres on it and changed the oil but apart from farkles and fuel haven’t needed to spend anything. I really like it happy to bimble around but is plenty quick enough when the revs are up. Mind you got completely spanked by a fire blade on Liskeard by pass today. No surprise there and backed off before it got silly.1 point
