Today was day one on my ride through Canada and to New Hampshire. Had to ride the flats of Eastern Colorado and Nebraska today, so not a lot of fun. YUp and riding at 0330 in order to beat the heat in Nebraska...

Did just over 650 miles today and will have to do about 400 miles across Iowa and into Minnesota tomorrow. None of it will be fun. But, it should get better after that. In Omaha now, waiting on Todd to show up. He lives not too far away and will be meeting me tonight for dinner. More pics to come.....6 points

I've been out for a quick ride on the new (to me) Vespa this morning . On the Keynsham road I saw some bike lights behind the car that was behind me , next minute he passed me (rather too close for my liking) . As he passed I saw it was a KTM125 , game on !! So I passed him with ease on the next bit of straight and left him for dead. @Six30 , was your nephew out this morning ? if so he's just been owned by a Scooter ...........

Decided to go up to Kitt Hill for their first Sunday in the month bike meet. Lone wolf today as Shadow is working and the Fowey geriatric bikers group have been out once this week. Anyway had a great ride up on the Hornet, love that bike. Tried out the Honda Road App and worked well for nav, still don’t really know how to control music with it or really care that much but will persevere. The nav directions came through to my lid and directional arrows came through on the bikes screen. Clever stuff I thought. Lovely old Wing Morini 3•5 was for sale for 3k . I liked it but not that much. Triumph Street RS in a nice colour

Back at the room, Todd prepares his bed made of pillows on the floor. They are sold out and didn't have any other rooms available and mine had one bed. His ass is gonna hurt tomorrow!

So we walked about 200 feet to a Taproom for pizza and beers. Pizza was "Detroit style" which apparently means greasy and square in shape. Still, I ate most of mine as I was starving.

How humiliating for the 125 rider When i was a learner a few of us up coming bikers decided to go to Porthcawl for a run, one of the boys was riding a DT50 and as we passed a junction on the A48 a Honda Melody pulled out behind us. The guy on the DT shouted to us all to slow down so it would overtake and he would burn it off, the scooter went passed us and my mate started screwing the guts out of his DT to overtake it but couldn't catch it up we never let him live that down4 points

As it happens I had litterally just been talking to my daughter about those fucking cameras, then jumped on the scoot and hammered up the twisties from the north side heading south, got to the top and saw the second camera, had to stop for a few minutes LOL, gonna get a clip on plate for riding that road LOL3 points

Not overtaken by a single motorbike all morning, up over on the A4067, then A40 through to Llandovery, then over the Blacks, no fucking idea why folks bother with fast bikes, since I've had the scoot I've only got beaten by one biker and it definitely weren't a sperm gargling hardly rider either Better to have a bike you can ride flat out everywhere than and overpowered machine you can never get to grips with, there are some shit hot riders out there but they're probably less than 1% and I already know that Mr "I've got a bad knee" ain't one of them2 points

It was quite nice - cool out, empty highways that I could just cruise along at 90 mph. Was worried about elk, moose and animals in my home area -but all good after that.2 points
