Drove to Baker City last night to enjoy a meal w/ my brother who is temporarily stationed there by the Forest Circus for fire duty. I was doing the math in my head on the way there....it's been @ least 7-8 yrs. since I've seen him face to face. Now I'm kinda forming a plan to go visit him down in Waco, TX....maybe sometime next year.8 points

I had a chance for a mornings ride today so I took the chance for a first proper ride on my Vespa GTS300. I decided to head up over the A420 a then a loop back to home via Sherston . A good rag along the A420 showed 82mph (on the clock) which was exhilarating as it was breezy , I think the speedo may be a bit ambitious but it was fun all the same . Turned off to head through Castle Combe ........... From there I rode up the tarmac section of the Fosseway to get to Grittleton. The entrance to Grittleton House (very posh school)........... From there I took a few back roads to get to Malmesbury ...........6 points

Nice looking towns, pure England. I used to go by a guy on one of those bigger Vespas on my way to work, maybe he was flat out but he used to regularly be doing at least a true 120kmh, so 75mph.4 points

Mandis had 4 inline 4s and I've enjoyed giving them a hard time as she doesn't. Singles and twins for me, but then I got a triple.3 points

Got to my hotel around 5:00 PM = cold and tired. But beginning to dry out, so that;s good. Tomorrow the 600 mile haul to Sudbury to meet up with DesmoDog. The low speed limits in Canada are gonna make that fun. More later ....3 points

Best of luck with that Clive. I almost managed to set myself on fire on Saturday trying to get my pulse jet going using a leaf blower .. a sudden change in the wind direction and im partially engulfed in burning propane. Eyebrows half gone, hair on arms and legs partly gone and face was fecking agony for two days. Fortunately it's now subsided to just angry red and hasn't blistered. To make matters worse my brother, who was assisting, fell about the place laughing whilst I was putting myself out...3 points

I like all engines and can't really pin it down to one i like the most but i can't get my head around a triple in an adventure bike, for some reason my head won't accept that and the old parallel twin engines were as boring as rice cakes are tasteless before the 270 deg crank was invented. The gear driven cam VFR 750 engine was a fantastic engine and well overengineered i really liked that, just shows how good you can build something when your making up for your previous fuck up LOL.2 points
