  1. The day started wet, i almost said sod the Mot, but dried up around 9am, so game on!. Rode the 200 metres to the end of our Cul de Sac, and turned onto Jubilee Way, passing the many pot holes and discarded Mc. D wrappers and Costa coffee drinks containers, I also passed by such sites as the Tesco Express, and the Cuckoo Birch pub, carried on the 600 metres to the Oak Tree roundabout, turn left onto Eakring Road, passing by car corner (Peugeot and Suzuki dealer, and Evans Halshaw) which strangely never seems to have people looking at car on offer for sale. After 500 metres I turned onto the industrial estate where the testing station in located. The testing station is 1st come, 1st served, I had a hour wait till I was at the head of the queue. The tester approached me, I gave him a quick rundown on the Keyless ignition, and off he went, I watched from the viewing area, the location of the fuel filler had him foxed, it was easier for me to open it than try to explain the opening procedure. The test took all of 10 mins, resulting in a Pass with no advisories, which I expected. I did the retun journey home, the exact reverse of my journey to the station, all in all a nice hour and a half out of the bungalow. The ride as made me wish for a longer ride, so at the weekend I may go to Poundland in Mansfield!, bike/scooter parking is free there. So my wallet is £29 lighter, the mileage on the scoot has risen by 2 miles, and the temperature gauge did not rise off the C position.. Now that it has 1 years MOT do I (try) to sell it, or keep it.?. Yes I am

  2. Our little town's Mayor paid us a visit recently....he's a peach of a human....VERY busy with running a construction company & all the civic duties that being the Mayor brings. He was quite interested in my Ebike, as he's heading up a project that's building a 63 mile long bike trail that follows a minimally used train track over to Joseph. I've rode this trail to it's current termination point a coupla times....it's quite picturesque & NO cage traffic! It takes off just north of the train station & follows the Grand Ronde river for a bit....which you can see has turned into a trickle with the heat wave we've experienced this summer.... The trail doesn't go very far as of yet, as our Mayor tells it....due mainly to butting heads with land owners along the rail's path. A Town Hall meeting recently showed quite a bit of support for proceeding with this project though.... Really looking forward to seeing this trail get completed to @ least Looking Glass creek....it's beautiful up that way! Mr. Mayor also noted that the trail is wide enough to accommodate the Mrs. new trike that I'm fine-tuning.... So....More Ride Report adventures yet to come....

  7. Popped up to Liskeard for chequered flag bike night. Only stayed long enough for a coffee and a quick. Chat only about 15 bikes when we were there but more were pulling in as we left. Couple of Vicars turned up with big white crucifixes on their backs. Load of women from Plymouth behaving like arseholes all drama and fuss. Few normal guys but don’t know if I will bother again. Of course no show without punch performing Nice Panzer, I like that, especially that it is single seated Cool blade, but had to explain to Shadow it was a Honda not a Repsol. Fantic 700 Vicars ADV750 scoot CBR 650, I could see one of those in Shadow’s future I didn’t mind the red VFR. The hands are Shadows, she was sticking with me and dancing, her ADHD was kicking in because of the noise. When the biker chicks turned up with their pantomime I took Shadow home as their carry on spiked her anxiety and she got really stressed. Not used to adults behaving like that.

  23. Not that much I reckon....especially since the train tracks have been there since before 1890 when Elgin actually became a town. The Excursion train only goes up to Minam which isn't quite halfway to Joseph...the rest of the track is used by a company that runs recumbant rail cars that you peddle w/ urethane wheels-- like a skateboard.

  25. Pulling tiles off the wall in the bathroom as she wants a shower unit instead of the bath/shower we have. Had all the doors and windows open and the breeze coming from downstairs was nice and cool with a bonus of the dust going straight out the windows. Why do some tiles almost fall off and others are bloody welded on. 2 walls to go yet.

  26. Got mine just after lunch, took the bike out for a jot around, picked up some spark plugs and some high heat epoxy, bought a new Dremel as the old one has packed up, only lasted 18 years. Went down to Costco and filled up with premium for £1.41 a litre, twats. Went to look at a house, or more precisely the neighbourhood, seemed quite nice, people sat in their gardens in the sun, struck up a conversation with a chap who was clearing his hedge, told him I was thinking of buying there, he gave me the rundown and complimented the Harley, may contact the selling agent and arrange a viewing. Back home now about to tuck into a pizza.

  33. Thanks for that , it brought back some good memories. We used to go on a family holiday to Chaniotis in Halkidiki every year for a family holiday. For one day of our stay I would always hire a Yamaha DT125R and go and ride the trails in the hills. Did you go to visit any of the monasteries near Ouranoupolis ?

  34. When I was about 12 I was learning to dive with my uncle and cousin in Milford Haven, We were about 30 feet down and all of a sudden it went really dark and right above us was a huge shark, I absolutely shit myself, later we were told that a basking shark had been seen in the Haven.
