I did enjoy that part of France, where I woke up, a lot more than I thought I would. Really very pretty. Now near Nice, after a full day on the bike. weather has improved, and I’m tempted to try and squeeze the Via del Sale in on my way to Milan. Entering Italy via Monaco, to have a wiff of money.4 points

Passo della Tenda is closed, I found today as I was going up that to the start of the Via del Sale. I went the long way around also via sort of gravel, but easier. Called the guy in the entry office and asked … I’ll leave it for the proper report, it’s funny3 points

Tomorrow I will meet my friend Luca, who lives in Milan. Then Sofia and her friend Barbara will arrive, I plan to receive them with glass in hand! We will have an amazing dinner, lots of laughs, and the next day will walk around seeing and looking at things. Will end that day with cocktails too. There’s lots of very tall very gorgeous women here, that’s a big bonus to the place.3 points

Was out for a kwik spin on the bike this morning....back down Clark creek road....came around a corner & a rabbit jumped out in front of me, crossed the road & was sprinting down the opposite shoulder. I was maintaining 26mph & was NOT catching him....Swift little bugger!3 points

Yes it's looking that way for a few weeks. But she has started College now so only available Monday or Friday. I have just bought her a set of winter riding gear, decent Jacket, waterproof over trousers, Drystar Gloves and some Gortex lined boots. I can see heated grips are going to be on the agenda to. Oh and some steel toe cap safety boots and 2 x cargo working trousers, as she wants to learn Carpentry and Roofing. Been a spendy week, one saving is that small riding gear doesn't cost as much.3 points

What you all doing then? Nothing exciting from me, working overnight tonight and Sunday. Not much planned apart from that. Taking the CBF to work tonight, always a fantastic ride home in the morning from Launceston Hospital. Might got for a spin on Sunday if the weather is something like it.2 points

We really enjoyed Milan last April but it wasn't as warm then and rained quite a lot. Sit at a bar in a piazza with a coffee in the morning and just watch people, there are elegant peeps in Milan2 points

I’m wandering from bar to bar in Milan. It’s so comfy outside! In a tshirt and it feels like you’re at home.2 points

Not yet it's not her birthday until 18th of October so the bike is firmly locked in the shed at the top of the garden. We have had the 'who will know' discussion several times but I'm not going to let her start her biking on the wrong foot.2 points

I've got some sweet pictures from the Pyrenees, but a group of french people just tried to murder me with too much food and wine at dinner. I don't think I will eat tomorrow. The weather is shit too, and tomorrow I need to make way towards Italy, I spent all day today meandering around the mountains and only did a total of straight line 100 or 150km, maybe.1 point
