Started my weekend off cleaning the bikes with Shadow. Well she just about managed to do her own but she is keen and willing to learn. Got her checking her chain/oil/tyre pressures. I also cleaned the Hornets and even did my boys ped. Came up surprisingly well considering it was covered in green algae. Skanky tit.5 points

I used to wear jeans like that when i was your daughters age not because it was the fashion of the time but because i was a scruffy cunt, who knew it would catch on and i was one of the pioneering trend setters5 points

I got the apology I was after. Thank fuck for that really, I would have had to travel to Plymouth or Exeter for the next Honda dealers.5 points

Just got in, been out fettling and fitting my birthday present to the bike. You wouldn’t think something so relatively small would need so many boxes Also the boys ped actually clean for once. I got to look inside it, looks like mental illness to me. And no I didn’t touch it, prolly some vermin living in there.4 points

My other job today was the wipers on the Dacia, passenger side wiper is forever juddering I bent the arm this way and that way, still juddering. So today I took the arms and plastic cover off that covers the mechanism, as soon as I did. I saw 1 broken (cast alloy) bracket, I think Dacia deliberately made it a thin casting so it would break easily Bodged a bracket out of a piece of steel which I bolted to the housing, motor and mechanism solid as a rock now, but the wiper is still juddering, a bit!3 points

When i changed the dash lights to LED on the old Africa Twin the side stand and oil pressure light came on every time i was out in the rain there was enough of a connection across the switches when wet to make them light up swapped them back to stock after that2 points

These have been on 5 or 6 months, were fine at 1st, then started the juddering......I have a Halfrauds voucher for £20, that may get me 1 Bosch wiper blade.1 point

Ahh right sorry Bob i remember you telling me that before LOL1 point

You might have to fit new wiper blades, i done that when mine were juddering the new ones fixed the problem even though the old ones weren't that old, i thought they must have been a shit make. When i looked back at what i bought last time they were the same ones the new ones have been on twice the time of the old ones now and are still good for some reason.1 point

My commute this time of year sees me riding into work in the dark. Don't mind really as both my bikes have decent usable lights. But add into that wind rain and fog and things are not so much fun. Riding in tonight had all 3 and was down to 50 mph on the A30 as I just could not see. I must say the CBF is very stable in cross winds, pretty planted given the strength of the gusts, not sure the Hornet would be so. Anyway I was thinking what the fuck am I doing this for, love biking but conditions do have an impact. Felt like the car would have been the better choice tonight. I am sure my morning run home will make up for tonight's discomfort. Anyway to the question do many of you habitually ride at night or avoid it?1 point

You have no choice in Scotland, very short hours of daylight in winter so riding in the dark is inevitable.1 point
-
I avoid the dark on the TDM as the headlight is pants, Tracers is good but still prefer daylight.1 point

I used to ride anytime, anywhere, & in any weather condition....TBH- I still miss that @ times. But I think I'm along the same lines as Fred....when the conditions are right, riding at night can be quite pleasurable.1 point
