Walking this morning , beautiful autumn colours down by the river ..................

She runs, and sounds smooth and sweet as new! Only ran for a few minutes, then on Monday it’ll be calibrated going thrpugh a couple of heat cycles. I won’t see it, as tomorrow I’ll be taking my mum on a roadtrip around Portugal for a few days. Get her out of the house and see some sights.

Clearing up leaves today, making a huge bonfire and making sufficient smoke to annoy my neighbours. Needs doing every few days at this time of year. Had to change the belts on the leaf sucker half way through, they dont seem to last very long. I did get out for a bit later, nice and toasty in my heated under jacket thingy.

I was planning to ride this week end but I did my back this morning ( made the fatal mistake of bending down to pick my jeans up off the floor... ) so am confined to a comfy chair and doped up to the eyeballs with aniti inflammatories and pain killers.

Had to beat the Beauty of Denali AK....

Cut down two dead trees behind where i park my works van and logged them up for firewood they were only about 7ft high as i took the tops off them years ago not sure if that killed them. Anyhow got the start of a nice pile of firewood for next winter started

I work in the electrical industry and have to say there is a massive shortage of people, and those willing to work I've found are a waste of space not interested in the job just want the cash every month. The group of lads we have now wont put up with them for long so their gone pretty quick if their not pulling their weight we don't carry anyone now. My daughter has worked from the age of 16 part time while doing her degree at uni and is now working as a teachers assistant in a school with problem kids god knows why but she likes it. She is totally self motivated and asks very little from us and shes travelling all over the place so enjoying life. The boy well what can i say the little fucker is living my dream. He's stage crew on a zero hour contract so works as and when he wants he needs pushing sometimes but when he works hes flat out, He done 6 weeks solid 12 hours a day at a festival and then had a month or two off travelling to meet up with friends at gigs in Germany, Ireland i think Sweden and London then back to work to earn more cash, weekend before last he done two 18 hour shifts had a day off then another 18 hour shift followed by a 19 hour shift then done two days five hours in the morning then back at 10pm for another five hours and the same Saturday and Sunday he will probably be off for a few weeks soon until he gets low on cash. It's easy for him he has no outgoings.
