Was out Riding earlier today....up Cemetary rd. & back down to Indian Cr. rd. & was surprised to find an Airplane parked in the middle of the road.... turns out that the pilot was on his way to TX from Seattle...& had some mechanical malfunctions of some type...had to make an emergency landing. He brought the plane down safely, avoiding any power lines....tbh- he picked a good spot to land it as that road has minimal traffic & is close to Hwy 82 @ the south edge of Elgin. Definitely not something we see everyday around here....8 points

We are approaching end of November, last chance to win a Bike Of The Month vote in 2024 limited to just one month as December will be extra tough, being mixed with the Bike Of The Year. It'll be of such magnitude that we risk rattling the fabric of motorcycle communities worldwide!!! Don't worry about that before you need to, though. For now, just submit your pictures for November Bike Of The Month, as always: - one picture, your bike - picture taken on a ride, this month - horizontal picture, landscape (Just for Marcel: your phone needs to be laid down when you take the picture) Feel free to submit more than one picture, I will consider the last one you post. This will close on evening of the 28th, at some undisclosed time which will be after dinner for me. We will then start the vote poll which will last until the evening of the 30th.1 point

I may get to do the brakes on the car tomorrow...says 9c and sunshine, i will do the discs and pads 1st, see how I get on with them, then do the rear drums if I have time. As i said, it will have to go into the workshop for the anti roll bar rubbers and oil and filter change.1 point

Been feeling the aftermath of that Bomb Cyclone that hit the Seattle/Vancouver BC area this week....windy as hell....& coming down in buckets earlier this morning. Finally calming down as I type this. After shooting tequila w/ the Mrs last night....definitely have a nap in order today. Possibly get a Ride in later though...1 point

I'm out this evening for drinks with my mate who's turning 60. I will be driving around the 'clean air zone' in Bath then finding somewhere to park up near the pub. Later I will be staggering walking back to the van and kipping in it while storm Bert does its best to keep me awake1 point

It's that time of the year again where the trails get covered in leaves and as you ride them you have no idea what's underneath which makes it more exciting As I was excused nursing duties yesterday it was time to get out for a ride so I headed in the general direction of Salisbury Plain but decided that as I was on my own to do some less travelled trails, one's that I wouldn't normally do. As soon as I got onto the Plain my immediate plan was thwarted as the Army were on exercise so Westdown and Larkhill ranges were closed.......... I rode around the perimeter path until I could get back on track but then realised that I had one in the departure lounge so this proved to be very convenient (can you see what I did there ) and then onto some tracks that were either new to me or hadn't done for a long time ................ I then got to this which was only meant to be a small brook , I walked it first and decided that as I was on my own I would retreat and find another way around as it about three feet deep in the middle I was a bit hungry by now so I popped into Tidworth for a bite to eat and some petrol for the bike.1 point
