Went to asda as you know and the carpark was chocca. Was going to get some stuff from Tescos on the way home Sunday at 15.45, once we saw the car park we didn't bother. Just washed and serviced the car as it'll be carrying me and Mandi to Derbyshire over the xmas break. Needn't of bothered washing as the roads are wet/damp so it'll soon be shitty again. Currently sitting here thinking about get these 2 solar panels up on the shed roof as they've been here for 3 months doing nothing.3 points

The social worker does her best, but all she can offer is soothing words. She says she will bring my wife a walking stick to help her, my wide has elbow crutches and 3 walking sticks already, maybe we can burn the new stick, keep us warm for 15 minutes.1 point

My mate was doing a trail ride up on the England/Wales border and I was keen for a ride. I set off at 07.30 tad it was a tad chilly, once I got over the Severn Bridge I went up the Wye Valley to encounter freezing fog. This wasn't pleasant and by time I got to the meeting point I was frozen. Thank god it was a cafe , and a bacon roll and two cups of coffee soon revived me . Gaz and Phil were on fairly big bikes (KTM690 and Husqvarna 701) and I was supposed to be on my DR650 but i knew the lanes would be challenging so I took the WR250 and on the first lane I knew I'd made the right choice. it was slippery everywhere and as I followed the two fishtailing bikes in front of me I had much less of a wrestle........... The order of the day turned out to be fallen trees, Gaz had expected this after storm Darragh last week and had brought his saw with him. Here's Phil getting stuck in with the saw ............ While I stood around taking photos and cleaned my safety glasses ...... Succcess.............. We then encountered a bigger jobbie later on but manage to saw some branches off and make our way past ........ After having to turn back on one trail as there were multiple trees down we headed up onto higher ground. This is 'water breaks its neck' a trail that was closed for many years and on that I hadn't ridden for at least 15 years . It was glorious up there and made it worth the effort .1 point

Those big patches of down'd trees remind me of when Mt. St. Helens 1st blew back in 1980...well over 200+ acres of evergreens flattened in just seconds.1 point

That's a long ride on the 250 Bob or did you @Six30 it to the start point Plenty of tree clearing posts on the TRF group page this last few weeks, trees down everywhere. The byway around Claerwen res was closed because of a land slide not sure if it's open again yet and all the byways around Brechfa are closed due to fallen trees if your thinking of heading that way https://www.facebook.com/story.php/?story_fbid=593026863377649&id=100080110217436&_rdr0 points
