Got the fucking lurgy again, another chest infection and course of antibiotics . Feeling crap and I get the call from Shadow to come and rescue her. She had minor spill last week dropping her bike off the stand. Nothing really but snapped the front brake lever so ordered a new one from EBay and put it on yesterday. No problem yesterday but today the front brake dragged got hot and started to smoke and lock. Anyway got the call to go and get her. Took the original lever which is serviceable but no ball on the end. Swapped it out and all was good. Brakes had cooled off by the time I got there. Anyway when she got home we cleaned the bike and I stripped and cleaned the front brakes. Now going to order a genuine Honda front brake lever. I’m so tempted to adjust the pattern one with a file, it really can’t be off that much, couple of mill here or there but it’s not worth the risk with her. If it were me I would.4 points

I too, had a coupla Honda's....'93 XR 80 w/ a mid 80's motor. It was originally a 9th birthday present to my oldest grandson...& was an absolute blast to ride in the snow. After many years of riding & fiddling, I completely rebuilt it...brand new top-end...cam, valves, springs, piston, rings...Barnett dirt-digger clutch...wrapped & sprayed exhaust w/ aftermarket alum can. He's now 27 y/o & came last Memorial day from NM to collect it along w/ my XT 600 Sumo. The other Honda I owned was an '83 VF 750 Sabre. The motor was quite smooth w/ a broad powerband...but doing carb work on it was a bit of a bitch...ONLY complaint I have of it. I did my longest ride on it back in 2011, when I rode down to Parker AZ & back in 98 hrs.....2500 miles in just over 4 days.4 points

I know what you meant Pedro I was only teasing. The Kernwek/Cornish are a Protected National Minority within the UK as recognised by the European Union and British Government since 2014 and the British Government’s own Kilbranden Report of 1971. Cornwall has been administered as an English County since 1898 but that doesn’t mean our Celtic national identity, language and culture was extinct from then even though the English state before that did their best to wipe it away as they did in Wales, Scotland and Ireland. There is much to talk how that came about but the point is there are many thousands of Cornish People, who know their history, and believe themselves to be Cornish and British not English. Oh and before any Gammons explode I don’t think there is anything wrong with being English I just don’t believe myself to be. I know who I am and my history, I am happy to talk to anyone about it if they had the slightest interest which they probably don’t3 points

Windjammer mate, 1970/80's cool as fuck to those who know. I do believe they did a version of the Yam XS1100 with one as standard. I think that Sabre suits it well2 points

More local lane maintenance for me today, done something about the rock step to the bridge at the ford in Ynysybwl just got to see what happens when the river is in flood next I had to test it out after on the bike and by god it was cold. Wasted my time digging some of it as it was too narrow with the tree there so had to make a new path to join after the tree2 points
